Note... though Gadge's is not SoF or pegasus, but I think is a make you can't get any more.
I have a funny feeling mine are 'warhorse'.
"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
Warhorse are or were? based in Kent so Angel is well placed to find out if they can help him.
They're in Kent, yes.
Both my SOF trousers (Para & 37 pattern, size 36) are about 2-3 inches too long and I am 5'10", so the length might be okay for you. I would get to a fair where they have a stall and try some on, if you can.
Cheers

Basically if it was something actually made in India, eg KDs and JGs, then it tends to be pretty good. Other stuff don't bother with.
Cliff bought a 40 pattern BD from Sanjay and although it looks ok ,it is much thinner softer wool, and having caught the leg on a branch at "pocket" it torethe whole leg off !
I woudl email him saying you expect a credit note for the cost of the return postage for unsatifactory goods.
worth a try.
You're out of pocket if you dont and when i complained he sent me the wrong colour aertex shirt he sent me the correct colour one back for free, didnt ask me to post the old one back.
(See if he'll chuck in a free pair of KD shorts (34 waist ) and i'll buy em off you when you get em!

Next question;
What is the general opinion of Sanjay's stuff?
I bought an RAF BD uniform from him a month or so ago, and when it arrived it was appaling. Wrong material, wrong colour, badly fitting. Alround wrong. Hes obviously offered to take it back and replace it with something else, but i've heard his stuff is very hit and miss. How are the P40 BD's? What other items in his inventory are actually any good?
Most reports on his RAF officer's SD are that it is rubbish.
Spearhead is now selling '37 pattern jackets, in serge and a barathea "officers" pattern as well.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
I thought Spearheads stuff was fine too.
Far better than trying to convert various post war types.

I have their 40/Austerity pattern BD. Cut and finish is OK. However see pictures of Crich it is a very green shade which does not match well with other makes/sources of BD.
Which email have you used?
There are a few to try... I'll pm you a list of the ones I've used.
I have heard that if you're wanting any kit from Sabre Sales, then you have about two weeks as they are selling off all their WW2 kit to a group of Americans who are massively buying surplus kit. I heard that all their kit is going and they will be left with 1950's onwards gear only.
If I was being cynical, I'd say they're looking to push up prices by cornering the market.
That's a poo. I wouldn't have minded had it been a British outfit buying the stock, as a proper mail order system, even at higher prices, would be better than having to resort to travelling halfway across the country just to rummage in a dirty basement. But buying from America is going to make the prices waaaay too high. Sheeesh, had I known the stock was for sale I'd have put an offer in myself.
Last year I also heard that they were closing down. There was supposedly even a flyer saying this, but I never saw one.
That was a load of bull as well and the chaps there were rather surprised when I asked when they were closing down.
Until I hear it from them rather than as a rumour, I'll treat such news with some suspicion.
So has anyone actually asked them?
I went there today, and there is no sign that anything different is happening - same old Sabre.
However, they are running short of some items. I couldn't find a decent belt with buckles and brasses, they have no holsters at all, and they had one tiny shelf of small packs - all of which were unserviceable. They still have plenty of ammo pouches, cross-straps, L-straps and large packs.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Glad to hear they're still okay.
They've been without holsters for several years now and the condition of the small packs and belts sounds about right from what I can remember. I bet you couldn't find and entrenching tool carriers, helves or blades either could you?
