Just be be clear both sides Axis and Allied will need ot have their kit out and ready to go for the game on at 11.30 -12 .

For during the day you will need your weapon, allowable ammo, snacks and water .
For the night/base you'll need your camping gear, spare ammo, main food and cooking gear ideally in a bergan, rucksack or likewise .

At game on all kit will be carried into the game area , we may have some vehicles to help but don't take 5 spares of everything or six spare guns in bags coz it's likely you'll have ot carry it yourself and I dont want people maeking three trips because it will hold the game up .

Axis will march down ot their base, deposit all their bergans. Some will go out on immediate patrol , some will get chance to set up base . As the day progresses all Axis will be rotated on duty to have the chance ot set up their tents ,zelts etc .

Allies will be shown to a secure bergan cache by their friend the DRWS . You will then the paradropped by military vehicle into the game area in small groups . You will only need ot take your day stuff with you for the game on . When you successfully escade and evade the Axis , and meet up with the DRWs , they will show you to the main Allied base area . You will return to the bergen cache and sneaky beaky your way into the base area . You will then be free to set up your tents , bashas whatever you have .

If it is totally pissing down with rain all weekend , we may modify this approach somewhat , as we don't want everyone ot have a truly crap time because of the weather . Although on the brighter side the woods are quite dense in places and do form a a natural weather break

It is the intention to allow time "in game" for all players to be able to set up their gear before early evening Saturday . Your commanders will designate stand down times for you to get some proper scoff , however bear in mind the missions are likely to go on till sundown on Saturday so it maybe a hurried nosh .

Note that both bases will not really form part of the overall scenario, I don't want people fighting in amongst each others prized bits of kit, nor do I want idiots chucking pyros around whilst players are trying ot get some kip late at night . So in effect the enemies base will be like their regen points, pretty much out of bounds. The two bases will also be quite far apart .

This event is being run on mil (ish) lines so expect periods of patrol , recce , attacks and defense and stand down. As stated earlier, once you jump off at 12, it would be nice ot think you don't have to keep running back ot the car , everything you need ot feed and fight will be either at your base on on your person .

Regens will be mostly by a flag system , rather than always return ot base . We will provide ammo boxes for players ot stash spare ammo in at their regens rather than have ot trek back ot base for . The event will have the usual ammo limits of 600/1200 for support , so you'll need to be sparing with the firepower.

It has been listed in the first post, but I'll re-iterate.

Wristwatches are an absolute must for this.

Actually a Pocketwatch would be fine as well..

But yes... its just about as important to you as your AEG or your boots.

If I can bring the conversation back to kit, getting hypothermia from being soaked through for 24 hrs (this is Wales, after all) is a real possibility, but obviously my blue goretex won't do, and neither will my DPM goretex.

I know raincoats were issued to US Airborne but I have a 'nam era poncho, will that cut the mustard as US ww2 kit in the ETO ?

Cheers
