Our event following Die Glocke will be held on the weekend of 4th/5th July at a location near J38/39 M1.

Fulsome details to come but as this will be a one day event and camping is available I was interested to know whether you would prefer to camp/social Friday night & play Saturday or camp/social Saturday and play Sunday.

I'm pretty sure the result will be inconclusive!

I should just say this will be a Brit vs German game but regardless of whether you can make the event (or just play US) it would still be interesting to see whether Sat or Sun is preferred.

I've chosen the "game sunday, pissup saturday" option. This is, of course, assuming I can get that time off from work! Yet again, CiA have an uncanny knack for picking the weekends where I'm working!

Picked Sunday - means work week wrap up on Friday without worry of travel, slow boat trip to site on the Saturday, Game Sunday and book the Monday off work - jobs a good 'un

pretty much the same for me, then I don't need to rush around on the friday, or take kit into work etc.

I'm going to buck the trend here and say Saturday for the game.

This is so that I have the Sunday to recover and will leave me fresh for work on Monday rather than wandering in to work like a walking corpse...

Sunday. I always take Monday as holiday to recover / sort out kit, etc. If it was a Saturday game and I had to drive all the way oop to Yorkshire, I wouldn't get there till gone midnight if I left after work on Friday.

I usually take Monday as well after a Sunday game... but I only have so many holidays I can take. Usually travel on a Friday only means half a day needed. :)

Saturday is good for me although the early date in July once again puts a game a fortnight after the St Lo game which although is US vs germans is still going to have some crossover, any chance of it later in the month?

As you know, Beltring and Josh's event in July limit the options.

Since Brits won't have had a game since May I hope they will be gagging for a game that doesn't include US!

BTW, this game will have very limited numbers and will see an emphasis on role playing and realism. Having been so disappointed at the outcome of Autumn Mist we will be making it clear that we don't spend 100's of hours organising a game only for it to turn into a SISK (I'm exaggerating somewhat of course). Therefore players looking for a blatfest or a jolly in the woods might want to give this game a miss!

We are going for Sunday the 5th July. It's a clear majority win and from a purely selfish POV it allows us to set the site up on Saturday instead of taking a day off work on Friday.

Thank you all for voting and your reasoning, it was more conclusive that I expected!
