Two questions.

1. What colour backing should a Fallschimjager breast eagle have, Blue or green?

2. I'm confused, is the Luftwaffe Fliegerbluse the same as the Fallschimjager Fliegerbluse? It's just that the Luftwaffe fliegerbluse i have seen look more gray than blue/gray.

Thanks for any help.

Fligerbluse are the same-just colours vary from different makers as they did during WW2.Can vary from different shades of blue to almost grey shades

answer 1 - Chest insignia for fliegerbluse is blue backing

answer 2 - all fliegerbluses are the same - Luftwaffe Aircrew or Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager, hell even their waffenfarbe is the same.

all suppliers i know of do them in the correct blue/grey colour or variation.

Hope this helps?

Del

Apparently all the batches of one of the HK sellers come out a different colour(and sometimes material weight)but i gather that that is 100% acceptable within reason??????

Well "During the war" lol it would be the same, maybe not same batch, but multiple suppliers would mean multiple colour/weight variations etc

especially later on in the war

As Del has said - blue background. The Fallschirm were part of the Luftwaffe, so they had the Luftwaffe eagle, which is much more "curvy".
See the Army eagle and (below) Luftwaffe eagle:

These are examples of Nic Morigi's stock at http://www.regaliaspecialist.com . I highly recommend him for quality and service.
Regarding Fliegerblusen... I have just ordered a Fliegerbluse from suesue66 on ebay. Apparently, these are made in Germany by the highly-recommended company Sturm - and by the time you've added on p&p from the far east, it's just as cheap to get them from suesue. They come with collar patches and shoulderboards included. The only regalia you will need is the chest eagle and some "gulls" to put on the collar patches.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier

The waffenfarbe differed by branches...only pilots/aircrew and FJ had the same color (yellow).

yeah we stock the sturm uniforms etc, much better than the HK stuff but it still is made in China , (i know who makes them problem is min order is a wee bit large so must buy them from Sturm)sad to say you cant get anything made in europe for those prices. For ref we have th fsj breast eagles on green backing and a light green cotton backing. :|
