What is the correct way to wear them? Is it tucked into the boot or over like British army style with twisters?
Because after looking at my Osprey book i saw them wearing the trousers/jackboots like this.

If its passed 9 there is a 95% chance im pissed.

Correct way to wear Marschtiefel with Panzer trousers (and StuG trousers too!)
Put your troos on.
Pull the legs up as far as you can get them.
Put your bootees on.
Poll the trouser bottoms over the boottees.
Drop your trousers. (YEAH! just make sure helga ain't around!)
Sit on a chair or suitable lump.
Fish about until you find the bottom of the trousers and the tapes.
Pull them "inside" so that you can see them and then tie the tapes around the boots about 2" above the ankle.
Pull up your trousers and fasten
Find a mirror and admire the wonderfully bloused trousers.
remember to thank PD in a prayer before you go to bed at night!

You airsoft boys, not being constrained by the 1940s timewarp we "allegedly stick to!" Can use a twister or just a heavy duty laggy band around the boots. But this is the prescribed manner of wearing panzer trousers with jacks.

Also.....
Tank crews cut their jacks down!!!!!! They had short jacks which they cut down from standard diceshakers (Knobbelbecher or dice beakers) This was in case they needed to kick them off quickly - fire, shrapnel in the boot etc. If you're trying to visualise - think antique rigger boot.
These boots were unofficial but widespread amongst tank crews.

Get a cheap pair of fireman's boots...... Leather is pebbled but if you feel stitch nazi you can get them out with a hot spoon (remember THAT from your cadet days????)

I only added in that they cut their boots down because sometimes in orig photos you see these stubby little boots...

They pulled the studs out of their boots too to prevent them slipping around on the metal decking and interiors
