This style of cap with the buckle at the front seemed to be very popular with the Volkssturm. Anyone know what it is? (or more importantly if there is a repro one on the market?)

I would go with G-burgers too, not sure on bavarian style, but I have seen burgers ones on WAF with buckles.

If you really want any cap based on the M43 /gebergs style try www.GD43.com They will custom make you what you want in about 2 weeks. I've got M43s from many of the usual suppliers, RAU, SoF, ATF, Meeeester Hole, the Hong Kong chaps and these GD43 caps are top notch. I have a posh officer style one on order now.

Go look on the WAF, theres posts and posts and posts about hats, of which some of them are burgers ones with a buckle. Not saying all had them by any stretch of the imagination, but there are examples out there of them.
