Got another 44-dated Kodak Medalist Camera. This one is complete but the shutter is a little iffy on some speeds. I hope it'll work a bit better with some TLC.

Give Chris at Northern Militaria a bell, tends to be a faster response than email in my experience.

When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

This guy's got some cheap stuff - and some Zelt accessories for those interested. Just got a spoon/fork, mess tins, socks and a pullover.

if you can get around the language barrier (altavista is great :D ) then theres loads of goodies dashed all over the net not just on ebay but many of the Militaria shops in other countries ;) . I frequently browse ebay Italy, France (not such a problem as I can sorta speak the language) Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and occasionally ebay Sweeden (think its relatively new :? either that or they don't like it over there  ). Can tell am a housewife huh far too much time on my hands  edited to add the forgotton Germany off my list thats a frequent one as I'm picking up the language

If you go on the Polish ebay, you'll need to google a translator I use http://www.poltran.com/ tho it doesn't have the translate a web option so you have to do it bit by bit there, there are others and often bargains to be had as the pound has a good rate agains the zloty

use of the right words in google brings up alsorts of foreign wonders ;) for shops that sell militaria ;) (using altavista for example or known words luftwaffe, heer etc etc for german, the word buy in a given language is useful too for googling ;)

Dull stuff - lightweight sleeping bag, hexamine stove and blocks. Finally found a toque (German headscaft thingy) on ebay that is "Buy it now". Just waiting for shipping rate from the US.

If anyone can find cheap German undershirts, let me know. I've search all ebays in various languages, but can only find stupidly expensive ones. Suesue has had them in the past really cheap, but doesn't have any at the moment.

Yes, Helga - I think the ones she had were green or grey - I have sent her a message asking if she's got any more.

Took a trip down to the Jeep Parts dealer and picked up some
felt padding for the toolboxs and glove compartment for the jeep.
Also a couple of screws to finally put on those hip crash pads.

I wasn't expecting those pads to come as a do-it-yourself kit though :(
Backplate, styrofoam and a canvas cover....some bison glue should do the trick.

On the good side me and the Jeep had our 15 seconds of fame last week at Operation Pheasant. I was in the local papers and on a local TV channel...
