Bidding on several items, including a 1942 Leica IIIc,

Watch for my German kit turned up today from Spain via Ebay (thank you ebay for the £10 off!)
Looky-likey 'aviator' watch - blummin big face, nice patina on the case.
Shown here with my much less showy period Elgin (that I wear every day).

I also won a second watch for £6.50 which is a variation of this aviator - hasn't turned up yet though...

Plus, also arrived - extremely sad but meh, load of smoking paraphernalia - pipe, baccy, cigs to go with my period packaging (heh, I don't smoke, it's all 'herbal' stuff  )

'twas £16 - the second watch I got for £6.50 (recommended retail is 300 Euro!) seem to be $80 in the states or £80 here.
The 'Aeromatic1912' watches are batch made so designs sell out. Brand seems to be sniffed at by watch buffs as they give an illusion of history in the publicity. But meh, they have quality movements , they look great and they aren't expensive! Lovely manufacturer's web site too:

We'll compare watches at Haggard - I might be persuaded to swap one!

Pipe is very plain (and cheap!) but I made sure I got one you can stuff filters into...
I couldn't resist giving it a go - the studio now stinks of bonfires!

Cool, thanks for keeping me in mind! :) In the interim, I might try and find another of those, I really like that watch!
