Loads of sand as well?

TFSS always wanted to have a bit of jungle... but it's just not possible for us. Most of the members are unemployed or students!

Do you have an honourary Pvt Sponge(r)? ;)

Yes. Several. As long as they pull their weight we don't generally mind. The number of active bodies on a display is more important than the cost of supporting their food for a couple of days.

Yup... post war, but almost identical to wartime mkiiis. :good:

Chin strap should be the elasticated type, not the spring type on these.

Nice MkIV helmet there! :)

Sorry Yith, but it's a MkV helmet.
The chin-strap rivets are up higher on a MkIV (that being the only diffrence in the construction between a MkIV and a MkV - And the difference between MkIV's and war-time issued MkIII's is the liner attachment; MkII style screw attached liners used in the MkIII's, while the MkIV's had Lift-the-Dot attached liners). I use MkIV and MkV helmets while airsofting in place of using my original MkIII, especially prefering the MkV as their sock liners are far more comfy than the MkIII and MKIV style liners, and with a helmet net on, no-one can see the different rivet placement of either the MkIV's or MkV's!

MK IV and MKV helmets are identical with only the liners being different-MKIvs had the WW2 type black rexene liners while the MKVs had the sock type liners.

MKIII shels can also be seen retrofitted with lift the dot studs and reissued early post war.

Sorry McVickers, only the MKIII shels had the high up chinstrap attachments. The MK IV and V shells are identical-the change in designation only applied when the liners were changed.

I at last got a WLA timber Corps plastic cap badge. Been after one for years.
Also some very nice but spendy czech made MP44 pouches.
More Blanco, blue/grey and the rather hard to find KG3 powdered type in the sprinkler tin. The only one to be used on respirator bags.
Ox & Bucks titles with the square cut ends.
Printed AFPU patches.

First I'd heard of this. When I asked the first time about MkVs I was told they were like MkVIs! Happy to be corrected. Right who told me that load of bunkum... time for a beating... lol ;)
