Bloody postman!

Tell me about it! The illiterate idiot in my area tried to deliver my chinstrap for my M1(thanks Joss!) to a neighbour even though it had my name on it and my flat number. Perhaps if she wasn't so busy chatting on a mobile the whole time she could've spotted it.
Guess I'll round up the open complaints with Royal fail to an even half dozen.

It's weird, I never had any trouble when I was living outside Glasgow. Including a farm up a 1 mile driveway miles from anywhere. Only in The G postcode area.

Our postman is good too, he brought the magazines I ordered the other day from Warren at S&S and 2x 200ml tins of black dubbin. Black is gone from my local shops, they only sell neutral these days. Time to dubbin my German boots for Freshman.

Yo're lucky they've even got neutral. My local shop tried to tell me that black kiwi parade gloss was the same thing as dubbin!

Best use a mix of HF Acid, DECON90 and Bleach then

Today purchases, courtesy of Farnham Militaria Fair:

3 x FF33 leather shoulder straps (post war, but will do the job nicely when dyed)
Original Officers field belt
Original early-war breadbag

Oh, and another FF33 field telephone.....

Kermit Telekom.....I like that. Could use the strapline "Kermit Telekom - and you thought BT were bastards!"

well, its up to 14 FF33's now, plus 10 of the Czech PT25's - not to mention the field exchange etc etc. Urgh, its all getting a little silly :?

I know exactly what you mean there Dave, I've spent a lot on odds-and-sods that are functionally useless, but add so much to an impression.

Then again, ive spent truly silly money on sorting my field comms gear out - and im only halfway through the shopping list at the moment :?
