An "airborne gas brassard"?
Is this any different to one used by the average GI?
(I'm assuming we're talking yanks here...) ![]()
Were they all not from British stock anyway?
Standard in your respirator case whatever your branch of the service?

Well I know some suppliers do two different colours, one for yanks and one for brits, but I've heard no mention of differences depending on branch of service.

I've no idea if they are correct in having different colours... ![]()
I know the British version changed colour during the period of the war. Early war being darker if I remember.

Just found in the porch (my postie is shite), some Royal Signals shoulder titles, arm of service strips and Scottish command formation badges, all from Monty's Locker. Time to get sewing!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
Hi-power arrived at last. It sat at the PF depot for almost a week before they got around to asking for the vat payment.
I'll gas up later and see how it goes.

My Ppsh has been sat in customs for a week and I've yet to hear anything from them.
Both Ppsh and Hi-Power cleared customs quickly, I got the sender to write 'AFRA Member #' on the outside of the package. I dont know if it helped but neither were with customs for long.
It was Parcel Force that held up the HP.

Yes it seems to help a lot!
I get them to write in big letters "TO UK BATTLE RE-ENACTOR AFRA MEMBER xxx CONTACT 07957 226689" ![]()

Free speech is expensive these days!

Yup I did that along with a scan of my card like Evo suggested. Maybe its because it was my old 2010 card (didn't have my 2011 then).
Nah. Never bothered with my card and they sailed through.
Perhaps they are just building your file? Old scallywags like Oddball and I are already in the system?

Compartmented STEN mag' pouch - not the cut down Lanchester type, but the thin Home Guard 'under-strap attachment' type, unissued, for £8.50

Wossat like look then McV? I've got a pair of flat, compartmentalised pouches that look '37 pattern-ish but are Belgian post-war (and very useful for airsoft as they pop on a belt and don't get in the way like universal pouches do).

Are they the ones with two straps on the bottom?
Not Home Guard, not British, some European post war thing. There was a discussion on them a year or so ago.

Nope, unfortunately not the leather ones, Chommers.

Yeah, that's them then:
I thought the previous discussion was about the webbing pouches that turned out to be West German UZI mag' pouches? See below:

Ah well, I do like the design, and it fits 3 STEN mags perfectly and even have pebbled Newy poppers!(see top photo)

Aye, those with the two straps are the ones I have - great for crawling about with but not British. I'm sure it was Belgian but anyway, over there somewhere!

I used to have one of these Israeli Uzi mag' pouches from when I was a lad (I used it with a British post-war 37patt web set - same Mills attachments on back):
I've tried looking for it again recently, found the black painted buckle webbing, but I can't find that pouch anywhere...
