I've got some similar dense-but-thin green canvas and nice leather, which I have now earmarked to make a couple of repros' of these rolls. If I do get some time to do so, would either of you be interested? They'd hopefully not cost much...

M43 tunic in Splinter, mouse-grey service shirt, late-war Jäger boards, and Jäger oak leafs for the field cap. Want to give up the NCO role and try this mystical "sniper" thing for a bit...

Denim BD-shirt, some lance corporal insignia and WW2-model scrim scarf.

Why do you always carry that umbrella?

Are you talking about Brit lance-corp flashes, the single chevron? I am looking for a source, would appreciate directions to any retailer/seller that has them in stock.

1942 dated 2nd a-gunner's BAR belt with the two front pouches removed and 1945 dated OD#7 M1 carbine pouches sewn on instead.
The carbine pouches are US made but I'm not too sure the BAR belt is; it's identlical to a US made belt except for a small "outdent" on the lift-the-dot fasteners.
The belt is marked "LAU 42" and is in OD#3.

Does anyone have any idea what the origin of this belt might be? :)

Some proper MkIII ammo pouches with press-studs, white elasticated braces (very important, these - my trousers were at my arse at last skirmish) and an entrenching tool and cover.

Nearly there! :happyclap:

I'll throw up some pics of the BAR belt as it may help someone indentify it:

Anyone? :) Sorry if I'm acting like a pain in the arse here, but I'm really interested in where this baby comes from.

A genuine seemingly unissued/unused "Carrier, Kit, MkIV, Rear" bicycle rack for my MkV BSA roadster. Quite awesome/rare as most of the racks produced were of the later "MkIV B" varient.

I'm not sure about the manufacturer, but I'd guess at it being a belt that has been field modified for an assistant BAR man, who was armed with a carbine. There was an official assistant gunner belt used in WW1, but these were phased out by WWII. This is it here: http://forums.thecmp.org/showthread.php?t=59075

It could have been modified anytime from the wars end to Vietnam?
The '45 dated carbine pouches make it very unlikely that it saw WW2 action.
