I used to use G43 pouches for K98 magazines but in fact you can just cut the stitching at the back of standard K98 pouches and fit them in sideways. They still look OK from the front but are a bit of a mess inside!

Cheers

Just got my "new" 1939 dated, all serials matching Kodak Retina 1 (model 149). Bargain price, all shutter speeds working lovely! Looking forward to taking some proper looking battle field photos!

2 lovely things:
1) A lovely badge for my Adrian M26 (from SOF of all places) It's ww1 pattern but they were stil very common in 1940. A spot of paint to match the helmet and it will be grand.
-- attachment is not available --
2) A lovely bayonet, model 1886-1915. Very pointy.

Since I've been able to finally finish off my generic British Soldier/Officer of the ETO. I'm going to quickly list what I obtained this Christmas.

1937 Officer Battledress Tunic: Soldier Of Fortune.
Tam O' Shanter: Soldier Of Fortune
Black Watch Tam O' Shanter Badge: Ebay
Staff Officer Peaked Cap: Epic Militaria
Staff Officer Cap Badge (Brigadier/Colonel): Ebay
Long Puttees: Soldier Of Fortune
Pistol Lanyard: SOF
And finally a new cork for my water bottle after a bunch of loons decided to steal the one that came with it.

I should take another set of pictures of my collection so far... it's grown a lot since then.

Weapons:
King Arms M1928 Thompson Submachine Gun
AGM Sten Mk.II
CYMA M1911 EAP

Got me a new gat.

Well, I thought it was about time I finally got a Sten.

I am also now the proud owner of approximately 17 MP40 magazines of various sizes and six stick batteries, so I'll sell some of the surplus ones in the near future.

Cheers
Martin

A very moderate day at Stoneleigh, just a hat, mess tin, sling, helmet decals and a gas cape bag thingy. Of which items no less than two were actually on my shopping list!

Cheers

All German I'm afraid. I was toying with getting some BEF stuff (helmet cover, e-tool holder, Mark V gas mask bag, sword bayonet) but in the end backed away, I don't really need three different impressions for Operation Copenhagen...

Very pleased with my new mess tin, a RAU one, much nicer than my old SOF one.

Cheers

Well, I say Dunkelgelb, but I've actually yet to see it in real life. Whatever colour DAK stuff is - it varied greatly, you know - from dark tan to very pale.
