Mine has become more rigid over time

That's funny as mine has become more flaccid with age :ghey: :giggle:

a shiny new M1 carbine! :-)

Sigh, or maybe not, turns out it was out of stock but they had taken my order anyway. :-( if only British suppliers had been bothered to order these in they'd have cleaned up.

Gave up on trying to source one from China and just bought a lovely converted M1 carbine set from 2ndBatt in the US. :D

Raffles, any link to where you purchased the carbine? I'm after one myself! I would love to know why no one is making an AEG M1/M1A1 carbine :(

I actually got it from 2nd Batt on the US ww2 Airsoft forums. It's one of his converted CYMA spring carbines. I fancied one for a while and having not heard good things about a few of the gbb ones I decided to just get the spring one. All the UK Airsoft suppliers seem to have in ready supply is disappointment. Although disappointment is also available from China a lot cheaper, but youve got to wait a while.

S'truth. My CO2 Marushin had to go in for repair the moment I used it in anger.

Bren bipod has finally turned up after 2 weeks of waiting. Very happy with it though it does have a slightly bent right leg, ah well.

Regards,

Ralph

Finally got my M1 carbine through customs.
Looks amazing, just the odd little bit of tidying up to do on it but the stock as it stands is really convincing. I was going to pick up a real carbine stock and swap it out but I don't think it's necessary now. Super lightweight compared to my Garand (which I never really use).
I'll post pics and maybe write a review later if anyone fancies.

Just got a case for my M1 carbine, some medic bag straps and armband, some pocket fillers for my Heer kit, and just ordered a nice helmet in my size and a lovely ZF repro scope. :good:

A zf scope? Nice.

Today my Soviet m40 helmet arrived! I love that Russian military green.

Panzerschreck should arrive on Monday. This to accompany my recently aquired Panzerfaust. The latter fires 40mm grenades. I hope to fettle the schreck to do the same.

Hopefully, I'm not getting too excited till its in my hands after my initial problems ordering a carbine from Hong Kong.

I don't mind heavy. I have a Glynn to lug stuff around. My bazooka weighs a ton, he copes with that.

I'd be interested to hear if/how you modify it to launch a projectile.

Let us know what it's like when you get it. I'd be very interested in getting one myself.

My Soviet uniform from hiki arrived today! Everything was going great till I noticed the breeches were XL rather than Medium! Tried them on anyway and it's way to baggy to get away with. Hopefully I can source some other trousers in time for Saturday

My Ares PPSh arrived today! It's second hand from a guy who said he hasn't used in a year and half but I've regressed the gears and put a new hop bucking in so will see how it shoots tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's OK for Saturday.

Regards,

Ralph
