If you dont mind me asking, how much did it cost you all-in Kermit?

Did it come compelte with the nice Hendsolt periscope and light kit?

Have you tried an MG42 on it yet? when I brought mine a few years back, my Shoei would not clamp on properly. On close examination I found that the front forks had been bent slightly (probably dropped out the back of a truck of something) which was obviously why it had become "surplus"

It was a pretty simple job to fix, just stripped it down and straighted them with a bit of blow-torching and a hammer!

good as new now, i'm kind of regretting selling my MG42 lately

£89.99 all in, including delivery from the land of sauerkraut and bratwurst. Came complete with the optics, and the battery box.

It fits the 42 perfectly :)

Rubber WW2 German trench knife. Blade is a floppier than I would have liked but it is still usable.

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

Quick question, did he sell that rucksack to you as a WW2 item? If so, he's got it wrong, its post war.

The biggest giveaway is the retaining straps by the buckles. German ones are leather on rucksacks for temperate use, and the "tropical" rucksacks with webbing straps use a completely different buckle

Other giveaways are the padded shoulder straps and the leather straps on the lid and sides of the rucksack being riveted, not sewn, on.

Maybe a bit of :rasp: but if he's selling stuff that ain't what its described as....

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
