Great bit of kit, the Zeltbahn. Check here for how to fold it into the smock shape. http://www.dererstezug.com/UsingTheZeltbahn.htm Belt order and Y-straps can be worn over it, to give basic camo.

Got it from a guy on Ebay Germany. Total cost inc P&P? 60 euros! Bit of a bargain. Think I'll be glad of the 1L capacity at Churchills Revenge!

I also have a .5L waterbottle (labour force I think, or maybe a REMF bottle?)I got from Ebay Gemany for only 20 Euros inc P&P! I've found some real bargains on there for stuff that costs a damn sight more over here. Mind you, I suppose it's the equivalent of us Brits being able to get 37 pattern for next to nothing.

I just typed in "feldflasche" (geman for waterbottle) in the search bar for Ebay Germany. The next step is to "watch item", that way , you can watch it from your Ebay UK account. Hope this helps you mate.

Not exactly a recent acquisition, but i remembered the other day that i probably still had an old pair of german jackboots in the cellar. just found them in a right state, but i've washed the mould off 'em, and they're currently soaking up most of a tin of polish/restorer...

Perfect for that frontline worn in look! :D

Good tip. Balderick gave me a whole search string url, and now I'm watching a couple in my ebay. :)

Does the medic's one have a different type of cup? Of the two I'm watching, one has the traditional look squarish black cup, the other has a more conical green one.

All of the ones I've seen have the conical bakerlite cup. The colour can vary, though the majority seem to be black. Apparently, true medic flasks have a shoulder strap, which is what leads me to believe that mine is a Gerbirsjaeger one. The cup is a bit pathetic actually, I've tried it and it only holds about a third of a mug of coffees' worth!

If you try typing "wehrmacht feldflasche" in ebay Germany, it should narrow down the choices. You could also do an advanced search in Ebay UK, to include results from the EU. I just use Babelfish to give a rough translation of the text (my German is not as good as it once was).
