Maroon beret from SOF - Yith - the label says "Kay hats" - is this the K&C one?

No... I don't think so, the K&C ones have K&C printed on the inside in the form of a fake label.

Its still may be pretty good though! Bring it along on Sun/Sat and I'd love to have a look... :)

Funnily enough there was one on Ebay not too long ago advertised as a very rare original-didnt know they had the internet back in 1944

yeah, I've seen a K&C one also advertised as wartime...

repro denisons are a fave for people to sell as wartime originals in perfect condition.

Yeah i recall that ebay add.

Apparently 1944 airborne.com denoted it as a beret issued to command HQ... erm yeah right....

Just got me a Jeep cap for the weekend and got Joe an M1 sling and M1 Bandolier

Is that the fabric over the shoulder number which the M1 clips were provided in? If so where did you get it?

Yeah its like a cotton strap which had 6 pockets on it. Each big enough for 1 M1 Enblock. A lot of Riflemen had their normal cartridge belt and 2 bandoliers criss-cossed across the chest. The weight of the M1 clips makes the pouches go to the bottom of the loop, so the rounds sit between your body and the inside of your arm.

SOF do them for a Fiver like Kav said. I have about 5 of the things, (dont ask why) I have them filled with those fake black rubber Garand clips, so it looks like the proper rounds are in them but next to no weight.

heres a pic of mine...

I got some brownies from there the other day but it was ok because they were reduced for being the wrong shade of brown.

Marushin M1 carbine :D

Thing is, it's not the same as webby's, which he showed me on sunday. It's definitely a blowback (shut the door of my consulting room and put some 8mm dents in the soundproofing  ), and it came with a banana mag, but the box says it's an M1 and I dont think it fires on full auto... :?

Apart from that, it's in top notch condition and is very very pretty. :D
