More early war awesomeness from King Zog in September. I thought I would post these here too so they didn't get missed in the archive.

For those interested they were taken with a 1941 Argus c3 on 35mm Kodak TriX.

Unfortunately a few modern backdrop items but hey ho.

I must say our Italian CO did a fine job.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Fantastic photos! Yet to put b&w through my argus. Lovely depth if field, did you have the shutter speed quite high? TriX has worked brilliantly too, I was worried it would be top sharp, but I was wrong.

Thought I'd post up where I am with my Luftwaffe Field Division kit as I keep banging on about it

Canteen and mes Tin were packed away and gas mask can is in the post somewhere and I want to swap the the Y straps and Etool carrier for brown leather ones aswell as picking up some Blaugrau M40 trousers at somepoint, please ignore the wonky belt at the back! helmet is a DD M35

Still very much a work in progress :good:-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Picture of my new FJ kit. Wasn't sure how to wear my gas mask bag so I just slung it round my neck. Any pointers or corrections are welcome.

Looks spot on! The gas mask was worn on the best or slung over the back so either is fine :good:-- attachment is not available --

Might sling it over my back in that case just so it's out the way a bit. I was planning on loading it up with grenades and bb's for skirmishing.

Ralph

That's what I tend to do with mine, they hold flash bands nicely! :happyswing:

Gordon showed me how to put it in 'properly'. One thing to watch with the repro ones is that stuff can very easily fall out of the top (the zips come open, the press studs pop open etc) so you might want to sew/pin the zip up or put a stuff sack inside it or something.

I usually wear mine on my chest so I can keep an eye on it easily get stuff out.

Cheers

That's a good idea Martin. I might just put a sack in there so I don't loose my grenades.

Ralph

First go at a looks like Japanese impression, based on mikoyans suggestions:

I don't actually think it looks too bad, although the Russian pouches are a bit more obvious than I'd hoped and my attempts to get a Russian waterbottle into a P37 carrier failed miserably, but the British waterbottle isn't too noticeable. I was pleased with how the helmet came out, and with a bit more foliage it'll disguise the shape more.

Banzai!

Martin

That's looking really good, Martin. I'd agree about the mosin pouches but once we're out in the field I don't think it'll be too noticeable. It definitely does look the part though.

Ralph

I think this is something fairly irregular here :giggle: :

Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.
