Any idea where the jumpsuit came from and did you order a size larger or are they just made like that?

Thanks

the jumpsuit came from WPG, as did most of my kit.
I did order a size too big as at the time i wasn't sure what size i needed( I had just lost at poker at 2 in the morning and was also drunk). I'm lanky as hell so it's quite the pain in the ass to get clothes to fit me.

I prefer the infantry getup to the para

:good: Thats beacause it look so much better and is far superior.

too true :P

Agreed also :good:

I see your agree and raise you another.

I never had been to keen on the Falschimjager look (crack troops they may be)

I always prefered the good old traditional Jerry stormtrooper look from all those old War movies. Usually involving Clint Eastwood mowing them down.

Could Kelly's Heroes possibly be the best War movie ever made?

Wow! Never seen it?!

Awww man you are in for a treat, A great war and heist film at the same time.

The Tigers are T-34's with mock tiger bodies on top (like Ryan) but at least they try for equipment/vehicle accuracy unlike most 60/70's war films ("Battle of the Bulge" and "Patton" I am looking at you!)

Helped it was shot in Yugoslavia, hence the Sherman's and M3 half tracks (US Military aid to Tito, still being used by the Yugoslav army at the time) and German type half tracks plus the T-34/Tiger combo's.

Cool, I hope you like it!

post a wee review here once you have seen it, it would be interesting to see what a fresh pair of eyes thinks.

I saw it as a kid with my Big Bro, so it has kinda become part of my heritage over the years!

Not received a pm yet chap.

Ask away.

Its a good loadout but you'd be better off with a European one for CiA games for two reasons.

1 ) Its *bloody cold* in winter in chindit jungle kit
2 ) 99 per cent of games are set in Europe and jungle kit may look odd :)

2 of the 3 slouch hats in that pic are original.

Original slouch hats can be found at militaria fairs or on ebay, you're looking at £50 plus.

The other one is one of the 1st run WPG repros. They were about £40 when you could get them. The new ones are much better, but cost about twice as much.

The uniform is Jungle Greens, the best place to get those is Sanjay at www.replicaters.com. He did one of the jumpers as well. Of the other two jumpers one is 60/70s australian from aussie ebay and the other is an original wartime British one (they're like hens teeth).

Boots are standard British ammo boots. Webbing and gaiters are standard 37 pattern same as used in Europe. The guns there are deac SMLEs, expensive in airsoft, but Shoot n Scoot will make you an one.

Other possible weapons are Tommy guns, stens and No4s... all are available in some form of airsoft...

I use my Chindit kit in the summer for open days. We would like to get far east game sorted sometime, but it doesn't look to be coming along any time soon! (we need some Japanese to fight)

How did you find the pic?

No its not user friendly at all... all sorts of things about replicaters is not user friendly. But their far east kit is pretty good. (the rest is rubbish though)

A hint... don't use firefox, use Internet explorer.

What's his (replicators) service dress like? Just an odd query, not really a plan.
