Very nice indeed, looks well snazzy! I must admit the Herman Goering Division look was what I was going to go for impression wise for my first Axis loadout but I chickened out. Wish I hadn't now, it looks quite cool.

With my latest acquisitions - Tornister and K98 - my early war loadout is complete.
Note to self - don't pack '37 Schnurrschuhe in the Tornister again - they only just fitted with a squeeze (I'm hazarding a guess that size 12 feet hadn't yet been invented in 1939), and they dug into my back - very uncomfortable indeed. For events, I'm only packing soft things in the Tornister!

Another stunning imperssion by Herr Steiner. Well done mate.
Excellent Andy.
Really liking that tornister Andy. Sets off the overall impression very nicely.
Still looking for a blanket.

Nice attention to detail there!
What's that you have strapped to the gas mask tin?
I would comment about regulations and Andy's impression - but he would most likely give me into trouble
What's that you have strapped to the gas mask tin?
Gas cape bag, which Andy you might want to have threaded to the front of the carrying strap, going across your chest. Seems more common to carry it this way early in the conflict.
http://www.mp44.nl/equipment/gas_cape.htm - has info on gas cape pouch wear
Aaaahhhh. I wear mine on the cannister but didn't know the strap was supposed to be threaded through. You learn something new everyday. Thanks for that Del
Yeah, I remembered after I had the pics taken about the anti-gas cape pouch. I'll have to have a look at Del's reference in more detail.

My humble first steps into WW2 airsoft. Would like to aim for a market garden look. Intend on 82nd Airborne, i know theres a 101st patch but the jacket came with it.
Any tips would be great.
Thanks
Historically; the 3-pocket magazine pouches are an USMC item.
Not sure what that bag is over your jacket. But apart from that it looks like you're on the right track

IM guessing the reason behind the 3 mag pouch is. That standard lo/mid cap airsoft mags for the Thompson, are the 30rnd length. So a 5 mag pouch so some is out the question.
Looks like a great start btw
5 mag pouch isnt out of the question, you just have the tops of the mags stuck out of the top!

Any tips would be great.
Thanks
First off, get rid of the 101st patch if you're planning on coming to the light side (82nd)
If you're looking to do a Market garden look, keep the stars and stripes patch on the arm, you'll need M43 Para trousers, and a pair of high leg brown boots (corcorans), thats your basic kit sorted.
Like BigUK said, the long thompson mags arent supposed to go in the 5-cell pouch, but for the purpose of airsoft its ok.... failing that, a thompson mag bag (which will hold 6 mags) is better.
Thats your basic impression right there:
If you're planning on doing 82nd, remember the 82nd do not paint white decals on their helmets, theyre left bare, I would see about painting it a matt dark green, SOF usually have the right colour paint in stock.
More avanced purchases might include (in no particular order)
M3 fighting knife, attaches to belt or around left/right lower leg.
M1936 suspenders
Musette Pack
Drop down rope
Holster ... if you're panning on purchasing a colt .45 in the future. Hip holster would be your best belt, although 82nd carried cross-draw ones too. Personally I prefer the cross draw, but I believe the hip holster is more accurate for late '44.
Looks like a great start though! good show!
is mag bag historically correct for Market Garden? (since I am aiming for one too).
Why not? They made them for years.
