OK been Googleing but cannot find what these catches are called let alone find a stockist

Any ideas of the name of the catch or type of hinge? They are for an ammo box.

I'd swear those handles are the same as the ones I put on one of my gun chests - and they came from B&Q!

I'm not sure a link would be that helpful, more frustrating?
The last time I spoke with the maker/distributor they were only interested in bulk orders.

There were / are listed on Ebay and although the vendor specified no overseas sales it was simply Hun propaganda - She will ship to the UK if you ask nicely.

Here you go, this is what I put on my K98 transit box - standard B&Q fare. Looks exactly like the Boshman's pic to me?

They are very very similar David but not quite identical. certainly close enough. The only main difference is the two little ridges.

B&Q on the Left, German on the Right

The Catches are the difficult thing to get the correct ones used on German crates. It took me a long time and many hours trawling the web to find the correct ones as I wanted to build a Packkiste Nr10 and get it spot on! They are Big (4") and they have a long catch plate (3") with 3 screw holes.

The Protex ones you can get in the UK at places like Mackays only have short catch plates and none of them are big enough or quite the right shape.

Box corners, yes you can get the bottom symetrical ones easily enough but the lid ones are shallower on the sides and these are difficult to find. It's also very hard to get Hinges which have 3 screw holes and are extra deep like these. most UK stockist only have standard door hinges.

As Martin say, the supplier is on german ebay and will ship to the UK if you ask, or you get a mate who is German to ask!

Anyone who want's the link, PM me. :good:
