Aww Webby, I was only joking about we let you have it...mind you with Del 'letting you have it' on the MG42 it must have been hard climbing that hill.
I thought it was fantastic. There was no way 4 of us could hold you lot back and it was awsome to watch.

i dont realy care who wins anymore its just great fun.
Seconded.
I just go to get drunk and meet hot girls - no, hang on, that's the COMRADES IN FARMS agricultural husbandry club (I'm always confusing the two )
it was hard enough getting up to the hill where the mortar with only 4 germans there, when that MG was going off with thousands of rounds coming the other way from it, it is hard.... I would like to think that my personal effort in getting across that bridge and the 1st up to the top was a good achievement, not really to be met by "we let you have it because we felt sorry for you"

Webby, well done for getting up there, I had fun with the MG-42 until I got killed under a hail of return fire from the US troops after ducking, popping up and shooting for a while
.My tooth still hurts lol
to echo dels coments, you all did great to cross that river, it took guts and effort, especially the muddy hill climb,
the ammount of fire comming up from the yanks and brits was intense, everybodys effort capture the hill, even the guys up to their waists in mud were still shooting/bandageing people
i was just pointing out how we role played it,and didnt game the medic rules, thats all, im not dissising ANYBODYS skill, effort or commitment.
i was the first across and still cant believe i got acroos, fired and re-loaded the mp40 and lobbed a grenade in the mortar pit all BEFORE i got hit,,,,,,,,bloody amazing. all the more so coz i didnt know i was going up agianst two mg42's .

any pics anyone?
I think I have a couple of the back of Yith's head, but I left my camera in Mindham's car.
I'm always too busy to take them when there is anything exciting going on.
What a fantastic Day! It was my first ever event and now i can't get enough. I showed up not knowing anything or anyone!
Then:
WEBBY + Mate helped me sort out my webbing (Mess)
TAFFY borrowed me a gun, couple of mags and a spare battery + glasses.
SPIERS,LIPTON,ODDBALL + MEDIC (Sorry can't remember your name) all made me feel wecome and showed me the ropes.
Thanks to everyone, especially the top brasss for organising CIA events and making Autumn Mist a success! (Especially for the allies! )
Thanks to the jerrys for teaching me the lesson of (NEVER TRY TO RUN AT TWO MG42's!
Hope to see you all soon
Will i be able to join in the April game for CIA members only now?
PS: STILL waiting for my corned beef! (imagine this is a pic of corned beef)
Glad my allied place was enjoyed so much. Sounds like you've caught the bug indeed.

Indeed, I've just got to revise the form then you can submit it.
I have the corned beef in my box of CiA stuff now - I'm sure we will make use of it at a game during 2009.
It was so late turning up I was convinced the Germans had intercepted it en-route - I think they didn't get their sausage until too late either!
When we seized the Mortar all that was left was the dead, mud + tinned sausages!
. 6. Regarding the moaning about thompsons outranging mp40s, don't forget the germans had a long hot summer enjoying the advantages of k98s and we didn't whinge one bit, at all, ever when we were on the receiving end. It's all swings and roundabouts, I am constantly frustrated by the range of my M14 which always seems to be just that little bit worse than the chap firing back at me! (our M14s were on single shot throughout).
I think there is abit of differance between a single shot from a K98 and a mag full from a thompson, not only that the K98 only comes into its own on sites with out to many obstructions
Hey Tarpey!
you did well mate! and totaly in to the spirit of the game, glad you will be back for more mud/mayhem/medics! ha ha

Tarpey was so full of enthusiasm (cant spell it) and it was a pleasure meeting such a nice young guy who is hooked.
I think a good idea would be for everybody to have 2 lots of kit, 1 german/Russian and 1 US/Brit and play on both teams once in a while, as to me there seems to be a them and us atmosphere coming into this thread. I would like to add that I respect any player no matter what side as long as he plays the game honestly, and would be proud to play alongside most of them.
Also being a site owner is a very hard job and like the CIA guys it can be a thankless job when people pull your efforts to bits, if you think things were not to your liking get into running a game and see how much work and sleepless nights you get.
The CIA guys did us proud and thanks to them we had a game
Is it coz I is Welsh
Welsh and proud
Your all fekin bonkers
Lol i see the argument over the much loved "thompson" is never gonna go away.
Lets leave that argument about the thompson Vs the Kar 98 to the other sections of forum.
Anyways, so taff what did you enjoy more. Husky or Mist?
video still uploading, wifes off to bed, so im going soon too

perhaps there should be a low cap only rule this would make things more authentic as none of these guns could fire more than 30-35 rounds in real life
Then what would all you germans do with all the new shiney KA mid-cap mags you've all just bought .
