i know its only the first days end but i thought i'd get the ball rolling.a well planned and paced first day with the emphasis definitely on covert operations.all the players got on board and the first shot was fired just before mid day, even after that the role play was superb and combat restrained,i only fired about 200-250 rnds all day and my only regret's were that i chose my thompson rather than my no4 at the beginning of the day and had to miss the second day.
thank's to all Josh's team and all the players for getting in the right frame of mind.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

Being to a few of the Gunman games now I sort of new what to expect but the secret missions weekend was something else. The roleplay element was the most "hardcore" I had experienced in an airsoft game but it wasn't a bad thing, it was top notch. A special mention should go to the germans on patrol "missing" the Brits and Yanks. "Large Rabbit here ya?" was bloody ace. Germans pretending to piss into bushes where allies were hiding in really added to the feel. Holding fire from both sides until a couple of hours in was very well disiplined. There was a few moments were the yanks had the drop on jerrys but good smortsmanship and roleplay lead to the stealthy plot a while longer. After 12:00 and thoughout the rest of the day fighting was fierce and sometimes very close, so staying concealed from the german zugs was sometimes a better option. The drinks on the Friday night seemed to flow more than the Saturday nights but was nice to have so many people round the Dog Co fire on both nights. Cracking Weekend looking forward too the next Gunman game in November. :good:

A great weekend a big thanks to Josh and his crew for all their hard work :good:

This type of event must take a lot more planning than your average event but it was well worth the effort made by the organisers, I will certainly attend a Secret Missions event again.

The crew were fantastic especially Herr Doktor who put on a very convincing show. Was also impressed with the new lads in the panzer uniforms and their freinds who got right into the spirit of the game and had some excellant German accents.

Also great to meet Andrew and James and see many familier faces again.

I dont think I fired my first shot untill 2pm on saturday and probably no more than 5 all day,but the game was just as enjoyable for all that.

Thanks to my squad for all their hard work, I promise next time I'm given secret orders I will wear my specs

Look forward to seeing you all at an event soon. :D

Throughly enjoyed myself on Saturday despite the heat, wearing german wools plus camo smock probably wasn't the best choice. Our 4th zug patrols were mainly uneventful until around 2pm when we killed 3 commandos (one of them (Bigkie I think) after lying dead for 5 minutes asked if he could move as he was on an ants nest. Fair play, definately beyond the call of duty. Once the fighting started it was fierce and the allied airborne taking of the mortar pits was quite impressive.
I thought the sportsmanship and gameplay on both sides was excellent, I literally did not hear one person moaning.

Great to see the usual faces and lots of new ones, cheers to Josh and guys for there effort and cheers to Dog Co for hosting the drinks on Saturday night.

As said b4, thanks to Josh and his team who do such excellent work putting on these events. Top work guys! Again, good to see familiar faces and the new bloods too. Good to fight with the Dog Co (if somewhat depleted in numbers if not effort). Hugely enjoyed saturday's play with lots of sneaky beaky patrols and 'melting' into the foliage when required. Thought it was extremely well arranged by Josh to have appropriate weather for Italy too. It was clear the Dog Co bbq was the envy of the camp despite Josh's ridicule!! Sundays play was a bit out of my comfort zone as the role play was quite more involved than usual, but I did what I could. Thanks to Gadge who played his part very well, the standard of play and immersion great by all players and good socials as always. I'm looking forward to the next thrill filled instalment of gunmar games!

An absolutley awesome weekend. Completely knackered and feeling raw from all the crawling through bushes that was done saturday morning. Thanks to Josh and co for putting on a brilliant weekend. Also thanks to the guys in Dog Co, who put up with me for 3 days (johnny that was the best bbq i've ever ever had ), and piglet who lent me that t-shirt that he's now probably burnt. Sure it was hot, but I guess it added to the 'realism', getting eaten alive by mozzies and ants. Also fun to do stuff you wouldnt normally do in ww2 games i.e playing in squads made up of allied and germans, especially with the realisation that Marsha's tanaka was now on your own side. Also I thought the whole whistle triggered-earthquake-dramatically-falling-over worked pretty awesomely. Overall a really fun game, and im already in anticipation for the next secret missions event, even if it it next year.

Just to mirror what everone else has said, a big thanks to Josh and crew for a great weekend. Those of Dog Co who came and the 1 'Dagenham Nazi' who all made my weekend that little extra special (I will bring the crunchies with me next time and a big pack of pork cock  ).
As for the game itself, day 1 was a happy medium with the right amount of patrolling and taskings building up to the inevitable contacts that I am sure we all enjoyed. The allies were a formidable foe but with far more superior leadership  the Germans were once again victorious :giggle:.
Day 2 had alot more action which at times became a bit confusing as to who was actually in each contact situation, we met with fire coming from the allies which we mopped up only to stumble upon a very large force of 'Pinkies' which after a brief 'oh shit' my depleted Zug of 4 were anihilated and executed, we died with honour and went out fighting :happydance: . After this encounter our second outing was attacked during our patrol and I still dont know if we were attacked by the allies, pinkies or our own side, such was the terrain and the fact we were all now in the same area of operation it was hard to tell, we defended ourselves admirably  (luckily endex was sounded :happyclap: ).
A special thanks go out to all those members of Zug 3 and those who joined us on day 2, you all worked hard which met with the rewards you deserved, as some of you found out, its always better to stop and listen before deciding the right course of action rather than rushing headlong towards the sounds of a fire fight. Well done to you all :good: .

I've played airsoft for 14 years and i can honestly say that this was my best airsoft experience by far. The organisation put in by Josh and the staff was far beyond anything i've seen at other weekenders i've attended. I must also mention the fantastic attitude that all the players showed. This was mine and Bens (coldsteel75) first WW2 event and we were made to feel welcome by everyone. The roleplaying was new to me and i found i was slow in warming up to it, but by sunday morning i was talking with a dodgy American accent and screaming in agony for a medic. The highlight of the roleplay for me came when the Major (Gadge) tried to parley with the germans and they opened up on us dispite frantic waving of our white flag, in the end i threw the flag on the ground infront of the Major and yelled "Your white flag don't work for shit Sir!". In that moment i was right in the game, loved it :happyclap:
A big thank you to all, especially the young guys we were camped next to for keeping us entertained and for fixing my gun.

WW2? I'm hooked now. :good:

I had an excellent time... This is the first proper WW2 themed game I've played and it didn't disappoint. The standard of play was excellent througout and I really enjoyed the missions and thought the command structure worked well.

Well done Zug 4 :D

ps - i need to make insect repellent part of my Heer kit - my hand has swollen up to the size of a balloon

Had a great time despite another shot to the face and losing 6lbs. Thanks to Josh and everyone else for making it so much fun. I only fired about 100 rounds all day and enjoyed it all the more for that.

Was sorry not to make it back for Sunday and am intrigued as to where the scenario headed, but after staying out gallivanting until 4am a slightly less strenuous day at Lord's won.

Thanks again to all and roll on the next one.

I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.

I can honestly say the entire of CGS had an absolute cracking time this weekend. The earthquake mechanic was by far the greatest thing ever added to an event "ohh hans, my feet have betrayed me". There was also some brilliant as well as borderline hillarious attempts at being sneaky from the allies on Saturday. "Ohh hans, vat vas zat?" "Ze wind hans, clearly”. The truce was suitably tense stuff with constant keeping an eye on the man next to you as well as the pinks. The story unfolded in bits and bobs and the speculation as it was happening was great. (as well as the German CO almost being capped by his own men). I fired a total of about 75 rounds all weekend and the full wools were certainly an experience in that heat. Next summer’s investment, HBT’s.

Also Morphine, it was great to meet you guys too. Hopefully we'll catch you at Gothic line (now Arnhem pt2 has changed) in November.
