Us Waffen SS guys are going to either have to play in feldgrau, or get hold of some Heer or Luftwaffe kit if we want camo. Personally, I'm going to get a splinter smock or tunic and some hbt trousers. No SS units were involved in the Sicily campaign, which is unfortunate.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Probably the cheapest option is to buy a splinter Zeltbahn and wear it over your Feldgrau, with you belt kit on top of that - plenty of pics to show that was commonly done. :)

Heh, you don't have to bother with smocks or zelts - it's going to be a baking hot August weekend!

Serious point though - camo isn't needed, indeed you may find yourself playing in shirtsleeves as I did at Bryansk. I suppose half the idea of running a Mediteraean theatre game was to give chaps an excuse to sort out some trop gear or give Italian a go - much the same as Bryansk with Russians, Arnhem with British, Eagle with Polish...

(However if you want an extra layer in case it isn't a baking hot August weekend then Anthony sells spliter zelts for £32  )

Just as a point of interest - SS camo can be worn if you are going as Hermann Goring division.....

I would say the question is why, except out of perversity, would you do such a thing?
Add an HG cuff title to your jacket then cover it up with an SS smock so you look like an SS bod who wasn't there!

This is the first ever UK airsoft game set it the MTO on a site that has much more than a passing resemblance to Sicily with a game constructed around events at Sicily - an opportunity to to dress in a manner different to anything seen before...

Yes, dresses are perfectly acceptable - indeed, the more the merrier. Something with an Italian flavour though - black say, with underskirt of white satin and lace edge and a red waist sash. Blouse should be décolletage style made from thin muslin with deep-cut cleavage - appliqué embroidery optional but a nice finishing touch...

And just to point out - undergarments can be fashioned from any material, even blurred edge camo, should the mood take you. However, parachute silk may be comfier.
But of course, the wearing of undergarments at all is entirely optional.
