Problem, as others have already mentioned on other threads, is storage. A few years ago I built a quad tube rocket launcher for FireFight (and yes, it did launch rockets!) that bugger was 14 foot long - and a git to store. Ideally, big props need to be able to be broken down for both transit and storage.

I cant recall where but i've seen 'rommels aspargus' style beach and roadblock obstacles made in three parts of hardboard that disasemble really easily, paintd to lok like metal, make great cover.

Yup, seen them too gadge. Another idea ive had (i'll give it a try as well) is the old "Dragons teeth" anti-tank obstacles.....
A couple of checkpoints might work well at Arnhem. Start off with each one being manned by two or three germans, and every dutchie coming past (unless he's in "shooting" mode) having to produce their papers to the feldgendarmerie?
Oh, there are cheap yellow Feldgendarmerie arm bands available from one of the re-enactor shops as well.

Right... for any of these things... people want to do them. Ask for dibs and you'll get payment up front/on completion. Simple as!

Okay... what I will do is order some Allied NCO rank patches to make up into arm bands for arnhem.

SOF are usualy extortionate can sabre not supply them?
We'll have to make brassards for them to go on, i think al the ncos for arnhem are already badged.
Great stuff for future events but i think were ok for allied rank for this one, oh and dont forget you only wear one set of chevrons on a denison

I'd suggest brainstorming a list, then once thats done, put every item on the list into one of 4 categories:
1: Vital
2: Very useful, will add to gameplay
3: Set dressing, but will look good - and add to the atmosphere.
4: Utterley useless. Who came up with this idea? Shoot that person now

Okay... I will ask sabre if/when I order a helmet from them.
I am thinking we get 'em now, then we have them for an emergency at arnhem and also have them for future events.
Army cadet stores/ebay would be a lot cheaper for stripes and brassards I suspect.
I want WW2 ones...
