There are three sets of brothers playing for the axis at Projekt Wotan.

Is this just coincidence? or is it that brothers (that can get on with each other) are drawn to the dark side?

Please discuss :)

My Bro' and I have been a "team" for almost 20 years now. We started off playing paintball together and then moved onto airsoft not long after that as well. The good thing about it is that we hardly have to exchange a word when we play, as we can anticipate each other and know each others' playing style inside out after all this time. To boot, we're great friends as well. I'm his best man when he gets married in a couple of weeks

As for the "dark side", my Brother has a MASSIVE star wars collection and his bias has always been towards the empire because, as he puts it, "they look better". It's always been the same for me too, about 30 years ago, I was well into plastic models and I had saved my pocket money religiously to buy some tamiya soldiers. I bought the boxed set of German assault troops because I thought they looked cool! It was the same with my action men, I always preferred the German stuff. As I've grown older, I've done a lot of reading and researching and I now have a lot of respect for the German fighting man and what they achieved. The first army to be widely equipped with assault rifles, the first army to be widely issued with camouflage uniforms, the first operational jet fighter, etc, etc.

Plus, the Germans lost! I've always loved being the underdog!

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

me and my brother have been playing airsoft for a few years now and i dont think we've ever been on opposing sides? grew up fighting and argueing, but after school I followed him round the world like a bad penny hanging off the back of his tank!!! Same regiment, same squadron, and a lot of the time, same troop. At one point they put us on the same tank, but realised the mistake just before we went out on the training area. That would have been fun! Home made pyro and paintball guns(before airsoft hit) on excercies never went down well with the sergeant major. Anywho, its definatly him who swayed towards Axis, but as with everything, he's my bro and i'll follow him anywhere. Even to the dark side. :D

Plus, what would be the point of Porta without Tiny to watch his ass.

My Two Cents.....

Yes we are indeed! Ian is a UCAP regular and knows the site very well which should help give us Axis players a bit of an extra edge!

I have only played at UCAP once myself (in my full PzGrenadier loadout of couse) at it was pretty bloody awesome. the unlit tunnels are really really really dark, you literally cannot see your hand infront of your face. actually physically bumping into the enemy is a real possiblity.! certainly gets the adrenaline pumping :D

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

I think it would also fit the 'secret weapon' flavour of the game.

If you can build one and are prepared to carry around a ten kilo back pack to power it then yes

If Neil can build a replica vampyr that works *only* on IR and not CWS type enhancement, with a real weight powerpack, fitted to an MP44 then i personally would have no problem with it.

Its period and in keeping with the nature of the game IMO.

I'd obviously have to chat to the guys about it but personally i dont have an issue with it if it was a bang on replica as the real thing was in limited service late 44.

Its going to be next to useless in semi lit a tunnels anyway...
