Heh, since this is a site that is actually open then is it worth pursuing this rather than a site that may or may not come about? Or at least in parallel to give us some options should things go tits up?

Hmmm, we might need to announce a little earlier than we first anticipated on this:

Hi I am Mav, one of the owners of the site.

We are running as an Xsite franchise so will follow the very same stringent ways as the site in Lane End High Wycombe.

While we will be clearing the site of anything obviously dangerous like edge protecting the holes and sides, cutting anything that you could impale yourself on, I can assure you the feel, rubble and look of the derelict warehouse will be very much present. Our game brief will obviously suit the site and yes it will be dangerous to a degree, but then so is running through a wood or just simply shooting a BB gun with just shooting glasses as protection :)

Being an admirer of the ww2 era and a 101st airborne airsofter I will most certainly be running world war 2 scenario games and weekenders. Stalingrad and the last stand at Berlin are being planned as we speak.

Feel free to pm me any questions :)

Oh and the site is a mixture of woodland, outside urban and offices/warehouse space. It's around 3 acres of usable woodland, 10 acres outside urban type terrain and 15 acres of warehouse/offices.

OK, time is rushing on. Any idea when the site is going to open or even if we can use it?

Quote from Xsite: The site has unfortunately been sold to a major housing developer and once the planning has been sorted and all the pieces are in place it's getting pulled down, so we only have the site for a limited time frame. That could be as short as 12 months, so get booked up asap to experience the site.

Do we need to be working on a plan B?

Since that Papermill site looks like it has a time frame of 12 months we should be OK. Jay, have you asked Tim if we can use one of his site for a game in October or were you just waiting for a site visit first?

They also have a new site opening this month:
The Outpost
16000sqft of internal urban heaven set in 90 acre site.
The Outpost is a former RAF listening post "RAF Edlesborough". Long since de-commissioned and now an airsoft venue. The site sits South of Dunstable on the junction of the B489 and the A4146. The closest Post code is LU62EE

Site visit first. I need to get back in contact with him sooner rather than later to organise it.

Right with a bit of searching came up with this site in the midlands ....it's urban 6 and they are up and running

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Urban-6-A ... 2169316471

Pete / Steven , can one of you sound them out/ investigsate, a phone call to see if they are up for it would be a good start, we can follow up with a site visit in May . We could do with a date in October.

see this thread below
