Guy, no way will Schaulen be our last event! There are still ideas in my head for future events! Don't be on a downer, I have a £20,000 "contract" on me at work but, I'm still throwing 100% at what we do! No way would I let anything stop me (I wouldn't give gadge and josh the satisfaction of us ending things either!).

I'm sure a site will be sorted. Even if it's not, we can go to a "plan B".

Thanks Pete for the encouragement , I've been feeling it'll all fizzle out recently .

I'm still confident we can pull off future events. The only sticking point for Stalingrad is a site, and that's been the issue for about two years now!

If Longmoor doesn't come off we can try to find somewhere else or go for a plan B.

Keep your pecker up Guy, we'll sort something.

NB: I'm drawing a blank on big urban sites at the moment. Airsoft Map and the forums aren't much help either.

How about trying to sort Longmoor for a game next year then? Get our names down early and all that?

Gets better than that........

well let me know as i have a lot of players that would also like to do a ww2 game. if you need to do a recce on bramley let me know and we can go over and have a look, i think it would be better then longmoor to do this sort of game.

Charlie

Have a look at this lot as well, from Charlies FB page. Looks interesting... https://www.facebook.com/home.php?filter=h#!/media/set/?set=a.42310878650.56774.739873650

I think we should give ourselves a deadline of July to find an urban site, it's unlikely we'd open bookings before Schaulen anyway. If nothing comes up then, we can put on something at a woodland site somewhere.

Hmmm, interesting, but only one building really, so not an option for Stalingrad really.

Just for the record. Close Action's newest site is woodland. I've sounded Chris out about potentially using it in the Autumn and he's happy to talk about it "depending on the terms of the agreement"! :|

I stopped short of saying that we give them money to do fuck all....* ;)

*Except, of course, ride on their insurance.

Nothing at the moment. Chris is being really cagey, so I'm treating him with kid gloves.

I'd suggest a site recce in July if anyone's up for it.

I'll check dates with them. I've only got the last two weekends in July free ATM.

Alternatively they have a date on June 26th, but it's their first game on that site and it might be a bit insensitive to go clomping over there then!

Close Action reply:

Hi Stephen,
as of yet there are no pyro restrictions, as we are on private land away from any built up areas. We do, however have a blanket ban on MK9-type pyros that some sites use to imitate artillery barrages etc. There is a private road running through the middle of the site, so vehicles could potentially be used. There could be an arrangement for on-site camping.
All dates are up on the website, so feel free to book a date to come along.
Chris

I'm not sure how a blanket ban on Mk9s can be described as "no pyro restrictions"!

Anyway, I'm sure we could talk about fixed, wired pyro if necessary.

Dates for July are:

10th and 24th, so I guess that'll be the 24th then!

I'm free on the 24th. Would we be going to play? Or walk about?

Hmm, I was thinking walk around, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to play!
