I really have no idea. I have no agenda in this other than pointing out the BS that Siggi spouts as usual. I couldn't give a fig about the rules for a game I am not attending nor had any intention to attend. However, when he starts nonsensically attacking people I consider friends then I will step in. He is quite a brave man hiding behind a false name on FB and able to spew away.

I was referring to him being a divisive personality not being divisive on the subject. He probably has a point but as usual the way he goes about it both here and on FB is wrong. His self righteous crusade over an argument that started 3 years ago and that he cant let go of are quite quite telling. He seems to think that he is the victim in all this when having read through the previous posts and threads about the previous time he stuck his head above the parapet it is obvious that he is the author of his own demise go read the link that Handschen has posted. I have no bear in that fight as it occurred before I got into WW2 airsoft . There are ways and means to go about things and this is not it. If I were you I would not choose to associate myself with such a character.

For what its worth I don't think that there is a blanket 500FPS limit for snipers in Milsims and cannot actually recall seeing 500FPS for sniper and 450 for semi auto anywhere in any of the Milsims I have been to. Equating this game to a Milsim is stretching it a bit for me as I don't ever think that was the intent.

Ultimately, he went about things the wrong way as usual and yet again has proved to a lot of people why he shouldn't be anywhere near anything they organise.

Both Tony (the game organiser) and myself (the forum owner) have asked that this stops and it has been ignored by several forum members.

Whatever your agenda, further postings do not help. This forum ISN'T Facebook and it ISN'T Twitter, where childish tit for tat exchanges, bigoted viewpoints and spleen-venting is the norm. This is a space where players can meet virtually to discuss a shared hobby and find out about every WW2 game. No more, no less.

All that has happened is a game has been jeopardised unnecessarily. Some players are now minded to not attend, or have a seed of discontent planted in their minds when the opposite should be happening at this stage. Get a grip. Follow the lead of our great national institution, Parliament, that shows how the country can work together for the common good. Oh, wait..

Dear all
I am really fed up with the way that all my hard work to make this game work is lost on some folk. I am not interested in politics or issues on this forum. To be honest as both an ex army Officer and now a secondary school headteacher I find it all rather childish.
I run CA as a fun activity and as a historian I am very interested in WW2 hence I like to promote the games.
For those who are attending on Saturday i will expect a gentlemanly approach to the game so that we can all have fun and get the most out of the day. I am sorry that some have pulled out as I don't seem a need for this but i understand its their choice.
Now can we please get on with having a great day and enjoying ourselves.

Fps is genaraly over rated in airsoft,but with the right ammo and rifle set up there is an advantage in range for a sniper rifle.With a badly set up gun high fps is just potentiayl harmfull to the players with no advantage and have spoken to many with chipped teeth over the years.The crux of the above conversation errumm is that a lot of ww2 players dont want to wear masks as it spoils the look of the impression,fair enough.
Personaly i find masks an uncomfortable ball ache and have not have good experiences not wearing one.There is no happy medium or answer to the problem,but would not want to be shot in the face at 500 fps with a
0.45g bb at 31 meter range,personaly i think Seg has done the right thing here as he has stuck to the original ruling,but i do see all sides to the problem especialy those who have built sniper set ups,however my original k98/vsr is only 320fps and will get kils at 200ft which is good enough for me ,and i dont have any MED, for me this is better than 50-80ft more range, often you dont get the enemy player actualy in this extra range band any way.
I did once see two WW2 players at my local site with a camouflage material face protector which seemed like a good idea .
I will be very disapointed if any one pulls out of the show the atmosphere at these events is exellent,but i do have 30 years re-enactment experience,belive me i have seen had heard it all,cool your jets dudes

Am looking forward to this game, all oour WW2 weak s are around the 320-350fps mark and we can only bring the 1 vehicle tomorrow but will have the bazooka and mortar and a BAR as support.
