I'm slowly getting a reasonable FJ impression together (well, OK at 100 yards on a dark night...) but my attempts to convert my plastic Stahlhelm into an M38 helmet can most charitably be described as a dismal failure. I know the game uniform reqs say I can wear an M35, but I wondered if some kind soul had an FJ helmet I could borrow? I'm a 58 but bigger is fine as I can pad it.

If not, no worries as I'll wear my sidecap or M35. I'll continue to plug away at the plastic conversion as well.

Thanks
Martin

I've got (on a "bend it, mend/replace it" basis"), the following items...

Leather jerkin.
Denim battledress trousers, 34-35" waist.
37' basic webbing (belt, ammo pouches, small pack).
Mk2 helmet.
Khaki (modern, no2 dress) shirt, up to 44" chest.
Pump action Winchester "trench broom" lookalike shotgun, with 6 magazines.

German field grey trousers, 34" waist.
Jackboots, size 9.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

I can lend you the MK.II shorter version if you like ,with a choice of 1911 springer or a 38 Webley replica holster filler.

Great, thank you.

I'll bring my other helmets as well (the chopped up plastic one doesn't look too bad with a helmet net over it), but I'd much rather have a proper FJ helmet.

Cheers
Martin

I'd like to borrow some basic 37 Brit webbing as I feel carrying a couple of small bottle of water might be a good thing. And looks better!

How big's your head Marsha? I have a 59cm FJ lid

Alternatively your coal scuttle lid would be fine. Not all FJ had the cut down ones :good:

I'll sort you out with a para helmet Marsha, I've got Helga's which is small. And if nobody tells her I'm lending it out without her permission, all will be fine

Just in case you are scaning the forum, Happy Birthday for tomorrow Helga
