Had a trawl of surplus stores in my area(all 2 of them) and neither have any at the moment. anyone know somewhere i can get a cheap cheap one for those winter games and the upcoming russian game?
I'm no expert but believe the post war French ones are cheap and close ot the US ones. Brit ones are even cheaper if your not too bothered about the age of it (1970s RAf etc)
Try the Malvern show or phone johnsons in Leeds . Anchor might be worth a call as well .
cheers guy
Yep militaria fairs are the best. Got my Brit one for a whopping £1.
Just look for the big piles of clothes and have a good dig.
Dunno how cheap you want to go, but I got mine at surplus and adventure - French M47 with gilt buttons, 26 knicker delivered.
I'd bet the Bunker in Cornwall will have them too .
Anchor Surplus has some when I was in recently and so did Johnsons of Leeds.
I'm not sure of the prices though.
thanks lads
If that's not enough choice here's where we got ours -

Yeah i have been looking at those also - r u gonna replace the buttons?

probably will if i can source the right type.
I got a set of the eagle logo gilt ones from Warhorse. Not cheap though, cost as much as the coat.
From what I've been able to determine there are three possible button options.
1) the gilt eagle logo, large size, bigger than the class 'A' button
2) the green plastic eagle logo
3) the brown plastic 4 hole, like a larger M43 button.
Anyone got anymore info on buttons?
