For flibble as whenever i go to look at tasty wwii stuff in latest acquisitions its either a pic of some 75 year old Leica or a wwi shoelace.....
Lets be fair if anyone else was constantly posting up post war largely irrelevant stuff we'd have asked them not to by now?

I know what you mean , but at least it's activity . Forums been a bit dead of late . ![]()
Ah you've obviously not been following the blanco debate ![]()

Aye, as a frantic kit collector I guess half the fun is showing it off so I'd say the WWI stuff is a marginal transgression! Camera kit is OK since that is for his WW2 impressions and pukka enough.
As you may have noticed, I have made the 'Retailers' section into 'Market Place', moved For Sale and Wanted into it and shoved it up the forum.
A lot of activity is around selling and buying and I sense frustration of the retailers as chaps merrily buy elsewhere not realising or forgetting they are down at the bottom.
So, I'll give it a whirl, see what the reaction/difference is...

Yes i agree Dave but i think ww1 stuff is a bit out of scope of the site. Just as we'd ask someone not to put up pics their 1970s soviet afghan war kit its 30 years out of period, just as wwi is.
Some wwi kit crosses the divide (lewis guns, 1908 web gear k98s etc) but i think its just i'm a bit sick of seeing cameras in new aquisitions and stuff thats got no relation to playing wwii airsoft.
Just me with nothing much to do at home i guess, if that the most irritating thing i can find today we must be doing something right.
Anyway it's about time i put up pics of my new 1950s east german border guards loadout...

Hehe. Guy is a forum skimmer so he misses a lot - I read every damn post! I think what is happening is that as there are more sections so stuff is spread a little more thinly. That and the fact that Porta seems to have been banished from the forum by his wife!
More specifiably then Gadge, I don't disagree with your argument though I would question whether having another thread would be any tidier and I wouldn't like to upset flibble with a request not to post, he is a valuable forum member even though he doesn't do airsoft anymore!
When I switch over to the new forum format over Christmas I'll re-visit this as thread/section management is different and it may be a neater solution....

I had to laugh, shortly after this debate we get some pictures of WWI spoons . ![]()
