Me and a friend are going to try and make the trek up from Guernsey for this event. We both have German and British period kit and don't mind which side we are on as long as we can stick together. Does anyone know of any good b'n'bs in the area?

We'll be getting the cross channel ferrie accross and then driving up to wales in my landie. Campings fine don't mind having to rough it for a night or two if we have too.
There is a Travel Lodge at Owestry, which according to the AA route planner is about 12 - 13 miles from the site, I'm considering spending the Friday night there as if I drive straight from home it'll take me nearly 5 hours to get to the site.
