Rich / Gareth

We can discuss this more at the weekend, but have you given any thought to setting up a PBI (if that's the name) section of this forum yet ?

I'm assuming you'll also want a private section for game planning as well as an open bit for games, team stuff etc ?

We're also assuming you'll both be happy to continue with being moderators of the whole forum as well . :D

Finally have you given any thought to a launch/statement of PBI ? Some ideas on how you'd like to manage the transition publically would be good so we are all batting from the same hymnsheet .

Gadge has written something up.

I'm cool on continuing being a moderator of the forums.

A PBI forum would be good... not sure if we want it private though... I think a public forum would be better.

As for events we are already in discussion with F&O...

I have a strong hate for hidden team forums...

We may want something private to discuss PBI events... but that's it.

All sounds good.

Plans so far

A press release has been written by us three (Dieselmonkey, Yith and I). Its ready to go up after wotan.

PBI - Poor Bloody Infantry is the name.

We're in negotiation for a March 'Operation Varsity' game at F&O and will be advising F&O with regards to parts of their dec game at request.

Further plan after that is to run a themed battle potentially every three months, obviously they willbe all featuring UK/commonwealth as thats our purpose to raise awareness and player base.

As forme, more than happy to stay on as a mod, a private and public section sounds fine, means rich, evo and I dont have to arrnage things via msn or pm then.

Cheers Guy.

Sounds Really Good! Four games a year I don't have to plan is excellent .

Sorry Rich, wasn't making myself clear ,

A PBI opne bit for the team / game bookings /info etc

A PBI hidden one for you, Gadge , Evo, whoever to plan the games etc , assuming of course you'd want your own area rather than use the CiA one.

Also assuming that we'd keep this "website and forum" hidden bit open to all mods as well .

Which section in the forum should we have them in?

Should we have a "teams section", should they go an existing section or should we start a new PBI section?

Excellent press release - I'll be working on my kit!

Forum - It's a question of keeping it simple I suppose. I don't mind you doing everything within a main section of your own...

Just thinking that if we take too much advantage of our organiser position for this one then others may get jealous.

I think having a main section for PBI is completely valid, both as a team and hopefully organisers of events. It's a bit of a unique situation that probably won't be repeated and fuck it we can make up the rules as we go along .

BTW the common view here is that once set up , we'd probably look to keep you out of the CIA private bit unless you feel a real need to be in there as you won't be bogged down with the bother of organising CiA games. ? Equally we'll keep out of the PBI private bit .

If you feel thats being a bit anal then best say now .

"I feel thats being a bit anal."

I don't see why we can't continue to discuss stuff between us... Private forums create a "them and us" thing... I really don't want that!

Yes it sounded anal as I typed it although it was the common view last week

Suggest set up PBI open forum, use CiA bit for a while for orging etc and see how it goes ?

Mind you how can we bitch about each other without private hidey holes?

Just need a joint discussion area - I don't intend to go any where near the PBI section except as a punter. It's their show!

I dont mind either way, im not fussed.

It would be easier to know what you guys are up to, is it possible to have 'read only' priveliges of a sub forum.

that way we can keep abreast but we cant stick our oar in and if we're really bnothered about something we can pm you?
