I was excited to see the first commercially available PPSH aeg yesterday . Its a fecking beauty . All steel , hand made, custom stock and running clone M14 internals .... 1000rd hand wound drum mag. To say this has been not been machine made is incredible .

Weighed and felt great.

Who makes it ...Trapper Industries do them in their spare time . A great bucnh of lads who mainly do vehicle imports but have been into airsoft for 10 years or so and produce custom work as well . They also have a Maxim ....but it's not for sale.

Price £675 all in , or maybe £100 less if you provide the M14. Steep I know compared to the Chinese cheapos, however if you think at least 50 hours goes into making one ...at £20 / hour ....
All will be custom built to order, and they've only just finished the prototype, so don't ruch in expecting one next week , however if you do get in touch mention CiA / me to them , I'm hopingthey will become converts .

(Pete59 - I've already told them to make you one mate :good: )

Very kind of you :D but I'm just waiting for the last few parts from the US then I'll be in a position to build my own  plus currently being without gainful employment I'm having to curtail my spending a bit :(

Josh at GMA (Gunman) currently has an airsoft Sterling for sale that was made by them. It's had a hold of it and it's a lovely custom piece of kit. Glad to hear these are too!

I was tempted to make an airsoft Patchett just because i loved the Sterling so much as a kid, with the folding stock it was always my favourite gun. :D

As it is, i'm going the sten route as it saw much more widespread use.

Typical, I've been after a Sterling/Pattchet for ages, finally sorted an Asahi one but it's currently stuck in a warehouse in Japan because the the company I got it through in having problems with Customs and Excise apparently they're opening every single shipment and they want to test some of the plastic pfc guns to see if they'll chamber and fire live rounds  all I can say is I don't want to be anywhere near if they succeed in using a plastic toy gun to fire a live round.

It's priced up at £495 (I think) S/H with mag (not an MP5 mag, but a proper converted or repro Sterling mag with MP5 internals) and internal custom battery.

I wouldn't have had it at that price, (not saying it's a bad price just I wouldn't have payed that), mines costing me £240, it's an external gas one so I'll have to see how practical it is, depending on how I get on with it I might convert it to an AEG.

We saw Josh's stirling at Beltring and it was very nice.

I was quite chuffed I managed to get away from his stall without buying that or the Kar98 shell ejecting springer. So in effect I'm actually about £650 up.

That means I can now afford one of those excellent PPSHs, doesn't it?

Looks really good. I'd be interested in seeing how Trapper have done their hop unit, as that's the only real weak spot on the PPSH41 that I made (for considerably less than £675!).

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Same here at the moment I've got 95% of what I need for mine and the cost including doner gun is under £200 :D

It's my sterling, it's actually that one that's up for sale in the forums here; Josh was selling it for me, but I had to get it back to sell it to someone, before they pulled out. It's now down to £450 anyway.
I should warn anyone ordering them fresh from trapper there were major reliability issues, and I had to employ a gunsmith to make it work properly. otherwise, very nice indeed!
On the ppSh front, had a fondle at w&p too. Only niggly complaint was the finish on the stock was a bit off, but I wouldn't want the job of making a custom stock so fair play to them, and it was very nice too. I was talking to one of the guys, and they said the next step was the curved magazines- which are going to look very nice indeed!
