Help I have been searching but cannot find the answer :(
I want to convert my TM M14 to a garand, I have just got the front wood kit but need a stock as mine is shitty plastic OD.

I have seen a real Garand stock on ebay but seem to remember it being a really hard job getting the m14 internals to fit? Am I right or dreaming?
So come on guys and gals help a poor old fella out.
If any of you have a wood M14 stock for sale I am interested.

First, Have you only just got them,Taff? Second Instead of the full garand kit, AZR do an m14 wood stock 93euro+ postage. It's a bit steep but I have looked for a cyma real wood stock M14 and I've had no luck.

imp got them from you ages ago, just got round to posting about the conversion :) pity a wood kar98 wouldn't fit as I already have one of them :) the euro at the moment is making the job an expensive one so will just carry on looking on here :)

I have a real garand wood stock, one of the blokes in work used to be a wood turner and he's a bit of a gun nut, so he took a look at it and he reckons that because the grain runs from from the front to the back of the stock and not up and down :? Its possible to remove enough of it to make the M14 internals fit. Sooo, its apparently possible, just not by me, cos I'm shite at that sort of thing. anyone wants it they can have it for £30 posted. (why do I now feel like Del-boy? )

I have made a couple using real stocks and very tricky to do,the m14 stock is slightly larger than the real m1 stock and beware alot of them are soaked in oil and very soft,if you can go for new ones alot stronger than the old ones, you will have to cut alot out in the m1 stocks and cut more away where the mag goes too,if you do it just take your time,it can be done if your good at that sort of work, the easy way is use a m14 stock and mold the bottom with milput and sand down and paint.

Bugger you got me thinking now :)
I am a glass decorator/engraver by trade (hand cut lead crystal) retired :) and that involved very precise work, that stock looks well worth saving :)

Hi, has anyone found a source for short M14 mags with a decent capacity as cutting midcaps down only gave about 12 shots a mag?

Altenatives are the AGM shotgun mags, although they hold about the same they're a lot easier to convert, or Webby managed to fit TM shotgun shells which will hold about 30 shots.
