Hi, just jump'd in on this forum.
Im a WWI Airsoft Player from Denmark, and I got a M14 Match, from CA. The short mags u link'd earlyer, wich M14's do they fit ? My M14 got the mag, like G&G, whit the little Edge cut of, in the top corner.
And then i saw a M1 kit, made in wood, complet kit, Is that anyhow poiseble to get ?
The Chinese shotgun mags definitely fit all the China made M14s and the Tokyo Maruis. Not sure if these are compatilble with the CA gun but if the TM mags fit, the shitgun mags will as well.
I have a full wood conversion kit on order from a co. called AZR. GuzziHero and a few others use these. If you're interested, email them the owner (Richard) C R V Ambion [azrproducts_ph@yahoo.com]. Be warned - they take their time (I have been waiting for five weeks).

Regarding the AZR wood kits, we ordered ours in December and received them last week.
Worth waiting for though. All we need now is our AFRA membership cards and we can replace the sick green two-tone stocks and convert our M14s.
I'm doing a rough conversion on my Short barrel M14, to a Garand Tanker. It's going well and I'll post pics once it's taken on a bit more shape but unfortunately my M14 has given up firing semi auto...completely. Can anyone tell me how the mechanism that makes it fire semiauto works? Or simply where it is on the body of it?

I have been in contact with the little Japanese workshop and unfortunately, they are not willing to do the M14/M1 short mags or even the oversized 98k triple pouches that will fit the tanaka mags ![]()

Remove the gear box and barrel assembly from the gun (by taking off the trigger guard)
Lay it down with the barrel to your left and the trigger towards you.
Take off the 4 screws holding on the trigger assemly plate and remove the plate (taking note of where the 2 springs and other components go)
Underneath you will find the cutoff lever, it has a nub on it that goes into the gear box, this wears down or breaks and is the usual cause for loss of semi
A replacement can be found here (as well as other places)
Thanks I'll have a tinker and see what I can do!

I've taken it apart and the piece appears to be intact, I've tried it in both positions however it won't work. It's a mystery, will have another look when I get home however if anyone's got anymore suggestions I'm all ears.

for the paint i used plasti-cote spray, dark brown and then used the clear matt to protect it,the paint can be used on wood, plastic, metal etc, very good stuff, can buy the paint from any diy or builders merchants.and to mould on the plastic i used milliput, also available most diy and model shops.

Does anyone know if an original garand butt plate will fit onto an M14 conversion easily?

Looking at my TM M14 and my deac M1 I'd say it would be far more trouble than it's worth.
