Obvious contenders for new toys are:

M1 Garand AEG
M1 Carbine AEG (incl one with para stock)
M3 Grease Gun AEG

Obviously I'm biased to US weapons, but I'm sure there is also a call for a mass produced Lee Enfield and there will always be demand (just not large) for a Bren, or a 1919 .30 Cal etc.

Taking into account comercial custom guns the essentials are now pretty well covered with the arrival of the Sten MkII. We have all the main guns for all the main protagonists, depending on the price you're willing to pay.

However if what you're after is cheap guns, then Viva are not the people to ask. For cheap guns we still need:

Kar98, Sten MkII, No4, Bren, MG42, MG34, Garand, Thompson 1928, SMLE.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but probably the most common ones for which there is no affordable option at all, is the SMLE and MG34.

Note I've not mentioned M1 carbine (and several other guns). These are guns that are pretty much essential to WWII games... M1 carbines are just a nice extra and are by no means essential.

Oh... some decent WWII revolvers would be good as well.. S&W victory, Webley, Enfield No2... etc...

I know where you're coming from, but I still think 'mass' produced AEGs are preferred to custom builds.

Not sure I agree on the M1 Carbine - especially for us US paras!

An mass produced useable K98 and SMLE/no.4 are the ones I see as important. These could be used for any ww2 period. :good:

i think mass produced, non-shell ejecting, and more importantly, upgradable springer K98 and Enfield No4's would be great choice for a chinese manufacturer.

They could even use the same internals, with just different stocks and furniture.

An SMLE is also really needed for Brit. It opens up the potential range of battle zones tremendously.

i think just getting one affordable rifle for the brits would be a great start. Two is just being greedy, and the No4 is more widely usable than the SMLE.

North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Pre-D-Day NWE. For all of these the SMLE is more suitable.

Basically as far as I can see the No4 is only the best for post D-Day NWE. Sure it was around before then, but didn't see that much use as far as I can see...

Only one more gun on my wish list and it's not a namby pamby .38 enfield revolver - I want a .455 Webley!

As for Viva making more aeg's, well, it would have to be an Thompson 1928, PPSH41 and the FG42.

Nice. Preferably in 8mm and only holding 6 rounds, please.

Just don't anyone else buy one and shoot me with it.

lol... then the hunt for a holster it'll fit in will start...

Personally a proper Webley or Enfield No.2 (.380) would be nice... using the tanaka revolver system. i.e. a sensible amount of ammo and a reasonable accuracy.

PPSH has to be top of the list for me, opens up for far more Eastern Front stuff .

Lee Enfield, K98 and M1 rifle spring sounds a good idea. main weapons used by the main protagonists, so it would be nice to be able to get them.

Don't forget 6mm calibre, not 8mm.

Hi,

I don't suppose Viva would consider doing a retrofit kit for the DBoys K98 to get rid of the shell bit and put in a magazine instead. I think it might be possible to just drop in a mag and a new bolt assembly that goes into a proper hop in a full length AEG barrel?
+1 on the Lee Enfield or the PPSH.

Any chance of a Villar Perosa using AGM MP40 mags?

Edit: G43, definately!

Believe it when you see it, like their MG42.
