Right, I've found a couple of places which have these in stock. Can anyone tell me the difference between the "normal" version and the "G" version? The G is out of stock almost everywhere but the other one is a bit more available.

I've heard of bolt restrictors, etc but have no idea which version this applies to. Any help would be appreciated.

OK, the difference used to be that the G-Spec Tanaka's had a threaded nozzle that you could screw restrictors into to reduce the velocity, whereas the standard K's did not.

However....

*all* Tanaka's are now restricted, due to the Japanese 0.98J law that was enacted recently. Not to say that these restrictors cant be drilled out though.....

Thanks Kermit. So if I get one, how do I "derestrict" the bolt? I don't want stupid velocities but it would be nice to get up to 500fps.

Thanks John. It's the export version that I've had my eye on to be honest. Best get it ordered while the missus is in a good mood!

Lol, yeah, ordered it last night. Managed to get the 98K export version as well, so I'm pretty chuffed. Now, to track down a BGS hop set!

I just took out the original nozzle and replaced it with just a bit longer and much more open one, made by me. It shoots about 360fps with HFC134a-gas and 0.20g bb's, and much more with GG or YG, I haven't checked speed with those two yet. Yes, It was a "Japan version", and I wasn't so happy with it. Now I am...

If it's AirsoftShop in HK - they have them listed, but no stock - already tried them.

If not - spill the beans

Well, I MAY have a source for the BGS hop sets if all goes well. Question is, how many would like one? And secondly, what sort of price are we willing to pay for them?
