For the vague shape you could get plastic east german ones and recover the strichtarn cover or dye it dark brown, they are not 'right' but look close ...

No less inaccurate than wearing a smock over a shirt rather than getting a tunic first... Depends what you want it for, if its airsoft then its perf...

should be over the right shoulder unless you're light infantry or an officer. i've been researching....

obviously need a shave and to do some butons up but it was more to show the sash and stripes than any critique

Use of ss camo by heer/lufty and vice versa isnt unknown its just not common. I've got pics of heer panzer crew in ss tunics.

Spearheads tunics are about £35 IIRC and perfectly adequate for airsoft. Smocks were about £30 when i bought one, maybe more...

Get the m40 tunic *before* the smock, its unlikely (read nigh on impossible) you would be issued the smock without the tunic, i've also seen no photos...
