Hi to Rhysd2,

My apologies again for the K98 incident....as you have said very fairly on your posts this was my first game and i was unaware of how much power the K98 had (it was gas) all I can say was i was not intentionately (?) aiming for your head but in your general direction...a lucky(?!) shot from me....

Had a great time & i would like to thank you all for welcoming me to the event, Im looking forward to the next one and hopefully can get some others to come with me with motorcycles and a kubel?

Just to let everyone know - I was using HFC Green Gas purchased from action-hobbys - so I hope it was the correct kind and not overpowerful?

In normal british weather (i.e. middling to cold) thats fine. But in hot weather its worth trying something less powefule, say abbey predator or abbey ultra...

Its hard to give any definte rule of thumb...

Well....

After visiting the Blade yesterday, his head was still a bit swollen, I commented that it did'nt look right, and after the round of jokes etc it was forgot about.....however he went to Hospital last night and they have, with a struggle, removed a bb from his forehead...... it was actually embedded into the bone........

Now he has made it clear its one of those things, no malice intended etc.....he is relativly new to airsoft...and having served many years in the armed forces having got by with out a scratch, so he's a little bemused that he succumbed to a headshot....I will stress that he has said he knows it was accidental......( and of course he will NEVER live it down.....)

Personally i am just a bit pissed at myself as I examined him after the session had finished, cleaned the wound and could'nt find anything wrong at the wound site apart from a bit of blood & snot....I was obviously very wrong.......

he sends his regards to all and has again commented how much he enjoyed the weekend, and hopes to see some of you at NEW DAWN.....

Are you sure they didn't extract his brain? They could be easily mistaken in Blade's case...

...Funnily his good lady wife said something along the same lines.....more like "it's okay, his head is too thick to do any permanent damage anyway".......

Then again she did'nt have to have four injections for local anathestic (they wanted to put him out!!!!) and two docs fishing about looking for it....even they did'nt think there was anything in there (Round....not brain.... ) untill they actually found it...it had fragemented on impact with the bone itself.....

.....he's taken it on the chin tho.... ....sorry...... :slap:
