Hi folks I know its over a month away, please try and support the event, both Germans( who this time are on the attack for a change) and Allies needed, we have kept the cost down due to being in December and money can get tight and its a long way to travel for some.

It's that eternal catch 22 where "down south" events are concerned. The vast majority of WW2 airsoft players are based in the Midlands and the North so consequently not many games happen down this end of the country. I've only managed ever one WW2 airsoft event due to a lack of funds/time to travel to events further afield and the other event I signed up for a few years back at Combat South got cancelled due to lack of numbers.

Here's hoping for a few more takers for this event.

To be honest I am trying very hard to get to this game but its all dependent on the next few weeks (dreaded MOT time) so will just have to wait and see.

To be sorry but I don't think that statement is true. There are plenty of games that are hosted in the south of the country. Many of the midland/northerly based players attend these events. I think you would definitely notice if the for mentioned players didn't travel and vice versa of the south of the country players travelling to events.
Just as a small point here is the map of sites used over the last two years (it was done as an exercise in planning for my own events)-- attachment is not available --

I agree with Kie, I would say that WW2 airsoft in the South is in very rude health at the moment.

People have tended to book on later to events recently. Its still six weeks till the event & i'd expect a fair few players to book on before then :good:

I am planning to come to this one but my daughter has a birthday in December so it's a very expensive month. I'll probably book closer to the time.

Regards,

Ralph

Regards ww2 airsoft in the south I'm speaking from my own personal experience of being a southern dweller over the past several years, whether anyone agrees or not that was my experience. Now to be fair over the most recent two to three years I haven't kept a close on the airsoft scene in general, I guess that's natural with children arriving on the scene and house purchases & moves and the period of the economic downturn which covered a good chunk of that time. So if the scene is on the up now that's great and it's hopefully coinciding with me having a little more time and healthier finances.

I have passed info of the event on to friends in the WW2 reenactment community who dabble with airsoft on the side so hopefully some may sign up from that quarter.

I'm in and I think most of the chapter 11 lads will be coming ,Hanschen klein ,Slayd ,Agent Orange are all planning on coming as far as I know ,I'd assume in the FJ on the German side .

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all

Money situation is looking better so I may well be coming to this one after all but likely the german side to even out the numbers.

Ralph
