do you think this would go well with the fj kit.

Looks strange, what is it? MP40 or K98 is normal :)

i got the pic off of gunbroker, it is a g43 which was brought back from the war as a trophy and then butchered at a later date. although its not historically correct i kind of like it, guess thats my sick taste coming through :?

i might get that smock as its quite cheap and im sure i have read somewhere that they can be run through the washing machine with a dye to sharpen up the colours.

People should be strung up by the thumbs for doing stuff liek that to classic rifles.

yeah gadge it does seem a shame, there are quite a few g43's out there that have been cut up and made into shorter sporting rifles

cheers guys
im concentrating on a smock at the moment

http://www.kommiss.com/product_info.php ... cts_id=918

Nice print, not a bad smock at all. The white lining and stone wash get up some folks nose. A light tint with a tan dye will sort that. They are made by Sturm who are Mil-tech in another life.
I have the Field Div version of this camo, I like it. It will get a splash of dye before too long.

I believe there is no firm introduction date for these items but all were in use at the outbreak of the war, so no problems using any of these pieces with early, mid or late war impressions

But What about spanish war?

Condor Legion FJ  go away you bad man, no winding up the old fart please :waggle:

Damn missed a pythonesq opportunity then

Just curious on the knee pad thing, is there a set range of patterns (splinter/olive/blue-grey) that are correct for any set time or were they all used pretty much through out with varying reasons of use ?

Don't think that made sense  hopefully someone gets what I mean.

Knee pads would have been used since very early war, but were ditched once they had landed.

just received my tan/water jump smock and would like to know how big these should be. i was advised on the size after giving my measurements to the guy i got it from, but man this thing is big, right down to just below my knees and enough room inside for me AND pavarotti.

hi noily
it is a size II, and i am a size 40 chest and 5' 6" short. it fits fine in the shoulders and when the legs are fastened it is just above the knee. just feels very baggy.
