Another forum milestone has been reached. Last night one of our fellow forum users unwittingly became the poster of the 50,000th message.
As a token of our appreciation that person will be having a free place at the upcoming The Eagle Has Landed game as well as a small gift to be presented there.
And that person happens not only to to have posted at the right time but also embodies everything that Comrades in Arms holds dear. Way back in September 2006 when the original CiA crew were floating the idea of the possibility of a player-organised WW2 game by discussion on another forum, he was full of encouragement.
And it's not only words; he has been a stalwart participator in WW2 games across the UK (and playing is what it's all about), he was one of the first posters on this forum and has been a regulator contributor, and an attendee of training days. Polite, considerate and witty and top bloke to boot.
And I say 'bloke'. As it happens 'he' is in many ways 'they' - for one can't be thought of without the other.
So, if you haven't guessed yet.....
On behalf of Comrades in Arms organisers past and present, Barrie - we thank you for being part of a great success story!
Sorry if you just died of embarrassment just then Barrie ![]()

Congrats to Barrie & to CIA for getting us this far. Its lucky they're both already booked in for tEhL, we wouldn't want them fighting over the free place? Would we? ![]()
Ah but are we sure it was Barrie, maybes it was Anne pretending to be him, or him pretending to be her pretending to be him, or maybes it was both pretending to be each other
Grats Barrie ![]()

Woot! I feel like a lottery winner.
Finally, the recognition I deserve lol.
Seriously, I(we) just got lucky with the post count but thanks for the thoughts above they are much appreciated. And the prize!
It's everyone on here who make this forum so much better/friendlier than elsewhere which is why this is now the only forum we read. So to everyone else, keep posting, next time IT COULD BE YOU.
Yup, congrats Barrie.
You've won a free place at TEHL, a pair of Guys old socks, and a years subscription to "Zimmer Frames Monthly"
No seriously, its FAR more useful than that. You'll have to wait till 'Eagle to get em though! ![]()

Yay, Barrie & Anne!

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Like Barrie says, he(we) got lucky with the post but it does mean a lot to us.
I'm so glad we are into such a great hobby with such great people who enjoy it too.

I second that, Anne. I'm so pleased I decided to keep my aisoft exclusive to WW2. I'd rather spend hundreds on a few games a year with you guys, than maybe less money going twice a month to open days (not a pop at 'modern' airsofters). ![]()
