Maggie, Pembroke Corgi. They are actually quite popular on this side of the pond..my family has had them through three generations now!
I used to keep corgis.

*very* dark for a pembroke though, they are usually rusty/sandy with white marking in the UK.
Cardigan corgis are often black or drak grey.

Not for one minute suggesting you dont know what breed of dog you have
just more suprised its so dark, having said that 'dinky' was chocolate brown all over as a puppy and went orangey coloured as a dog.

Yeah, they really are great dogs.
Shes definitely a Pembroke...shes a tricolor fluffy though.
Heres my other one, hes a fluffy pembroke as well (same breeder). Hes the great uncle actually.
