My most favourite gun from my garage-full is my TM Thompson. Five years old, well worn and battered and on it's second motor, sporting spiffing walnut furniture and the safe-as-houses Headshot barrel fix. The CMYA has a lot to live up to...

i dont think it will dissapoint, just be carefull tho ,they can be a little hot. mine out of the box was running 390+ acording to the guy i got it from.
El cheapo CYMA Thompson turned up today - bargain at £115 delivered from Airsoft Warehouse.
It's the first time I've looked at one closely - this one hasn't got those horrible white screen printed trades (good) and has a 328fps sticker on the box (not yet chrono'd so can't verify) has the usual charger that I don't trust (cut off the tamiya plug and lead for the spares box, charger in the bin) and 1200Ah NiCd battery (next to useless for me but meh, I'll charge it anyway) and a speed loader (good - can never have too many speedloaders) and a tacky plastic but heavy low-cap (that will need some filing to fit to the gun smoothly) and an unauthentic sling (that will be replaced with and Enfield sling) and a small bag of BB's just sufficient to riddle the polystyrene packing box (has to be done in the name of 'testing'). My NiMH 3300 and 3700 batteries fit the stock but the 4300 doesn't - the gun has the small connector so will have to change that to a big-un.
The faux wood finish is pretty good, nice with a lot of metalwork (which has a dead flat black finish that I don't much care for). Fire/safe & single/auto selectors are firm with good detents. Good slow and heavy thunking action on full auto! Iffy pretty box lid that has something like the Thompson 'signature' logo and claims 'Official Product'
.
Can wait to slap all the AZR kit on it!
You'll have to pop up some photos of it with the AZR receiver on, was reading that thread last night and sounds good.
Also they do run a bit hot straight out of the box, probably around 350 but sporadic, after a bit of wearing in mine runs at 320 pretty steadily.
I'd love a TM one with a wood kit though, the finish on them is a lot nicer, they look more authentic.

AARGH,
I've been trying to buy a Pre-1945 Summitar Lens from a guy on Ebay, but he has one of those buy it now and pay right away setups that doesn't take shipping to the Netherlands into account. So he told me the shipping cost, but I can't enter it in the Ebay-checkout ...grrr.

rangercamp denison and size 3 gaitors fro SOF , paid for , waiting on the 24 hour delivery man.
ace stuff... I hope the anlets are big enough for you... the size 4 ones I have from them are actually size 3
I've just aquired a pair of 'supposed' WW2 era binoculars, and I was hoping someone could give me an idea of their origin? For my purposes they are fine, since they "look" similar enough to Dienstglas to get away with. Only details I have is "RUHNKE FABRIKAT" stamped on the left side and they are 6X magnification.
Similar to Dienstglas, but not official issue ones (which have 6 x 30 Dienstglas, plus the serial number on the body of the binos)

rangercamp denison and anklets arived today, i am a happy man .( now i just need a few jobs to come in )
Low boots from Militaria-net
and prescription lenses fitted in inserts for ESS goggles/glasses (that took me a year to get round to doing - Specsavers refused to do it 'cos they didn't want to be sued even though I said they were for skiing glasses not shooting glasses. Sent prescription to Specs-by-Post and got 'em back in two days
)

Specsavers did mine no problem. They are franchised though, so it would depend on the branch I 'spose.

Specsavers did mine as well. Hell, the ESS UK importers told me that its Specsavers who are the "official" optometrists for prescription lenses for their goggles/glasses....
