Edition made during the war period with the metal pieces replaced with wood and card ones to save metal for the war effort.

Has it still got the card spinner, instead of the dice?

No this one has dice.

if i can still find it, i've got a spare somewhere.

Ooo that'd be nice. I think it's the only missing part. It only cost £3 as well. :)

Thanks!

Oooh, I never, never thought of using it for such a purpose. No sir, the thought never went through my mind. Not once.

They enable very precise definition of a target area, and by how much you need to correct your fire.. something like ( 120 mils up...100 mils left )
There going to be setup next to a fixed fireing position .ie. MG42 on a lafayette for displays.

Two dated Brit entrenching tool helves, both with the post-war used bayonet lugs - £1 each. (One is the usual steel, but one has a brass lug end!)
A '44 dated set of Brit engineers' wire cutters complete with original twine lanyard - £7 ('Operation Freshman' here I come!...)
Two '58 patt shovels - £2.50 each. (The better of the two I'm going to keep for my '58patt webbing set, the poorer condition one I'm going to convert into WW2 pattern)

All from the AWESOME surplus stall in Doncaster market (webbing straps and L-straps 50p each, as well as many other bargains!).
