ATF SS shirt
ATF Heer shirt

Why buy two shirts, they all wore the same types? A waste of $50?

The plastic badge collection is now up to 60 distinct types with the addition of a N. Staffs and an Army Air Corps.

An original 1945 copy of "7th Hertfordshire Home Guard - History 1940-1945". This is the only period published history of a Home Guard unit, and so is very sought after by military historians. Copies go for about £60-£80 usually. I got this near mint condition copy for 40p from a charity book stall at the Ashridge Estate!!! :happydance:
It's particularly of interest to me, as I was born and grew-up (and still really live) in the Hemel Hempstead/Potten End/Nettleden/Berkhamstead/'Gaddenden(s) area where the 7th Hertfordshire were operational. My Great Grandfather (another one, not the one in the MGC) was a Lieutenant in A-Company, and other members or friends of the family also.

Yesterday picked up a Tommy helmet, Grey, 3 holes either side so obviously a civil defense one. No strap, loner shot, so now sourcing replacements and paint.

A so-so repro battledress jacket finally back from the shop this week after alteration, morons shortened the arms too short first time round (cuffs at the elbows?!) so it has a seam where one ought not to be. me very annoyed :evil:

This means that with the bits I have already, I have a passable UK/Commonwealth regular set of kit.

Now need to kick locals into playing again.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile

Oh, nearly forgot to say;
Back at Operation Shingle, I purchased a nice matching wood-set for an SMLE No.4, front sight protector, all the bands, and a rear sight, for £50.

I'm still looking for a second hand JG M700 (or a Tanaka if it's cheap enough!).
