That's the least amount of purchases at a Militaria Fair - EVER !!
Worth the trip then Del?
That's just poor preparation. You know it's going to be overpriced, so why don't you take supplies with you?
I did! Woke the wife up early doors to prepare packed lunch and thermos!
I also bought nothing - I often don't at shows these days, I don't need more crap and I'm good at resisting temptation!
I did fork out £1.70 for a cappuccino though (I did invite everyone to the car and crack open the thermos but I only had one small cup
)
However I did spend the whole day chatting, extending the network and keeping in touch with those that need to be kept in touch with. Especially valued was a natter with Webby who I haven't seen for six months. In fact the last time I saw him was when I led him away with a bag over his head and ordered his execution release but an over enthusiastic guard shot him.

Worth the trip then Del?
Yes - caught up with a few folks, good to have a face to face. Nice to see Anthony & Mo, Matt & Carly - not seen them in long time.
Also had confirmation that there are bargins to be had - if u hunted for them, but a lot of over priced items to.
Like David, I had no itinery of things to buy.

"Liar! Liar! Your pants are on fire!"
I saw a bag with a shiny new uniform in it!

What sort of uniform is it you've bought but don't want to tell us about? The question is do we really want to know?
Yes - caught up with a few folks, good to have a face to face.
I was tempted to do the same but knew I'd probably end up buying something and I've already blown my budge on a PpSh and alot of Soviet kit.
alot of Soviet kit.
Which I will be hassling you for money for very shortly as the quote from schuster has come in.
I already snet you it, don't you remember?
The money, no you haven't!
You tried, but I said not yet!
just fitted my new Garand sling to my M14, still got to get this converted to an M1. I'm really liking the colour.-

I think I know but as I'm a git I'm not saying.
{C-W let it slip in a pm, he does pm me for reasons other than to tell me off, sometimes...}

A bit of an odd collection of badges there. The only realisic way I can see both the infantry assault and panzer badge being issued to one man is if he were a crew of a halftrack. They should then both probably be bronze; bronze infantry assault was for mechanised/motorised assaults, silver for on foot, Silver Panzer badge was for tanks only, bronze for other vehicles. Even then if would be unlikely. The gold close combat clasp is also perhaps a bit much; only around 600 were ever awarded- making it rarer than the Knights cross with oak leaves.
Sumpfmuster also probably isn't the best choice if you're (brother) is going SS. Unless of course if he wants to use it for looking like Heer for some events.
just got home to a big bundle of upgrade parts! ![]()
