Yes, its a fine ensemble and fur suits you. You will have to pack in the smoking though - it very nearly ruined the shot.

And finally, my image host returns. Here are my boots. The soles are pegged and stitched, and they feel very sturdy, with excellent ankle support. I would take more pics to show you.... but I'm currently wearing them around the house.

Nice Dave.

Yes, I think Jan is going to be busy - he was doing 16 pairs in my batch. And he is a really nice guy, to boot. :P

To blacken these boots and keep them supple - I recommend getting Lederfett (trans. Leather Fat) which in essence is Dubbin. GEt a black dubbin - Cherry Blossom will do - And LARRUP it on then leave it a week at room temperature to soak in. You can then coat the boots in paraffin based shoe polish and buff....... I've had a pair of the boots Richard Underwood originally brought in for five years now - NO signs of them giving in.
And as an aside - All this fuss on PSt! over boots - My God! if they spent as much time to get the rest of it right we'd be laughing.. As it is - We're just laughing! :giggle:

LOOK! I ham now four meggle man!

Well I'm afraid I'm lusting over those boots Dave and Andy, they look fab. It will have to stay lust though, I can't sensibly spend that sort of money in these times

I spent well over 300 quid on my Scarpa boots for ice climbing. After that, I can justify pretty much any footwear thats cheaper lol Aside from that, spending money on good kit works out better in the long run. Look after them, and they'll last a hell of a long time making more economic sense in the long term.
